Shattered Kingdoms

I've tried rolling a halfling, half-elf and human as a diabolic necromancer and... well, the necromancer option isn't there. Is this a bug?

Hmm... perhaps this should go in the bugged forum, didn't see that down there until after I posted.

It's not a bug. Necromancer is not an available option if you identify yourself as new to the game. It's an advanced class that has repeatedly proven itself to cause new players to quit the game due to the combination of difficulty and the way every person in the game is guaranteed to treat you.

Ahh damn... I didn't even know it would do that. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Dulrik. (I guess that explains why I choose new to game lol)

There are few other combinations that have newbie protection as well.
