Good: Quote: Name: Aiding XXX Level: Veteran to Grand Master Area: XXX Description: The NPC "XXX" requests your aid. First to kill 30 XXX, then give an object to XXX before killing him too! Bad: Quote: Name: Mother XXX Level: Amateur to Expert Area: XXX Description: Help make a potion for Mother XXX by fetching for her some ingredients. See the stark difference? I think we should move towards more detailed quest info. |

I've acknowledged before that the quest information files could use an update. However, upon attempting to actually commence fixing them, I determined that it was impossible for it to keep up with where you were specifically in the quest string. I don't think it's fair to spell out the whole sequence upon speaking to the very first NPC, so the logical alternative is making the initial keyword remind you where you are. This means completely rescripting almost every quest in the entire game. It's a lot more complicated than it may seem, which is certainly not to say that I don't appreciate or agree with the suggestion. I just want you to understand what this would encompass. I've updated a few, but it's not an easy fix. |

Thanks for doing what you've done on them. I understand that recoding things could be a nightmare. I also got upset about being lost in quests, but its possible to GM without hitting some of the 'ill-written' quests. Not the biggest deal. But but its good to acknowledge the problem. |

If you think it's a problem now, you should have been here before we wrote the quest tracking system. |
