Should people be able to be invisible on the who list the same way people can toggle auto anonymous? I vote yes, because I don't like people logging out to avoid PK, and I don't like people using the process of elimination or good who-list logging to figure out who people are. |

No. And the option below it. |

Yes, but rogues only. |

The kind of gameplay that uses the who list, particularly when combined with locate object, seldom feels very far removed from metagame thinking and using knowledge that's only known out-of-character. Classy moves like locating corpses when you see someone jump from the bottom to the top of the who list, for example, are what I'm talking about. I for one would be happy to see the game move away from being so tell-dependent and disabling the who list altogether but for an area- and/or faction-based version with the tracking-like functionality of knowing if someone was in the area recently, not just currently. Want to know if someone is online? Try to tell to them. That's how people suggest we solve every other conundrum these days. Add a friend list functionality to request to add someone, get approved to add them, then see if any of your friends are online. Like how most other games do it these days. |

Why complicate something that functions especially as it pertains to IC communication. If you don't want to be seen, use a skill/spell to not be soon. If you don't want to be social, don't respond to people. Honestly, there are so few people playing at times I welcome the chance to reach out and initiate some RP with a fresh character. PS. This isn't most games. This is better than most games in the genre. |

I question your knowledge of the tactical value of the who list. |

grep wrote: I question your knowledge of the tactical value of the who list. That's nice... but sort of not the point. I don't believe my point was tactical superiority at all, but IC communication. I guess that makes you tactically superior. Which.. an ant can do, far as my skills go at times. So congratulations, ant. |

So, Antross, you show your true formian. But seriously. There's facilitating communication and then facilitating exploitation. You might not be making the point of tactical usage, but the platform certainly could. You might disagree with my point, but do you at least see it? I'm trying to work over and around the blatant grep bashing here. |

Maybe rogues should have a skill to hide from the who list at will. |
