Hi, Why does it take less movement points to fly over road than to fly over ocean? Flying is affected by altitude, temperature, wind, humidity, and obstacles. These factors, not the texture of the surface underneath the flier, IE plains vs road, should determine PE cost. |

Space is relative in SK. I always assumed ocean rooms were larger than road rooms. |

The reality is that flight is a low-altitude spell on SK. It doesn't take you outside of melee combat range of people who are not flying, so any overland travel while flying will still have you climbing hills and going around almost all the same obstacles. |

And creatures with wings, or people riding creatures with wings? There's no 'storyline' reason why a sprite can't just fly up about five meters to avoid being hunted down and killed by tigers, it's just part of the game. Also: A low altitude flight over desert is about as easy as a low altitude flight over road. Walking through sand sucks. |

Clearly you dont understand how the atmosphere works in SK. The air has a high viscosity at very low levels of altitude but very low once you get about 5 feet up. This explains why flying of a desert is bad because the air is full of sand. If you fly up higher then your working ten times as hard. Or perhaps its just because it has to do with game balance ... Reality fails in the face of game balance. |

The other issue: Flying in place costs nearly no PE. Being in a room, doing nothing, standing, is about as taxing as being in a room, doing nothing, and flying. The same goes for swimming. Swimming up or down a river current should be comparable to flying towards or against the prevailing wind. |

Is this a real conversation? I feel like you were bored and smoking weed and had a real not-so deep thought and just blurted it out. Lets focus on real issues like why we can fight and kill clouds. Have you ever fought and killed a self-aware cloud in real life? Doesn't seem logical. |
