There's too much 'quick, let's gank their relic while they're offline!' in CRS. I don't know what 'RPPK' anyone is talking about. There's 0 RP and 0 PK, it's all PvE. Here's how it should work: Say, the Crucible wants to CRS the Hammer. 1) The Crucible pays some money to construct a siege camp. 2) Morea is surrounded by a siege camp. No one can get in or out of Morea without passing through the siege camp, which is full of moderately dangerous mentor/master level NPCs which slow down enemies but don't really pose a serious threat. Hammer members and allies can freely cabal gate in at any time during the siege. The siege camp itself will not cause guards from any faction at war with the Hammer to be all like, 'my duties require me to leave you now', and can itself be gated into with a gate target or some kind of new command, so the attackers can get ready there with a light defensive advantage. 3) The battering ram will be done during a foreseeable moment, hopefully in peak gameplay hours. In the predictable time window, the attackers can kill the outer guardian, use their siege equipment to open the door, and then fight. 4) The whole nature of cabal defenses (outer guardian, guard waves, inner guardian) would have to be heavily tweaked to balance out the new 'scheduled peak hours PvP' CRS system, which everyone will enjoy more than the 'OOCly coordinated off hours PvE' system. Now, in order to CRS, a bit of money is spent, some epic effects are added. Most importantly, CRS battles are made to happen at a time which is pretty predictable to both sides, during peak hours only, with maybe a day's advance notice. The construction of the siege camp can be visible as an echo to everyone involved and their allies, on happening and on login, like the diplomacy echoes. I'm sure every detail of the idea isn't spot on, and I'm sure the nature of cabal strongholds themselves would need to be revisited to accommodate the change. Please vote on whether or not you think that the vague concept- to make it so that you need to pay money to schedule CRS in advance in a way that's visible to the server, to prevent 'offline relic ganking' and supplant it with PvP- would be a positive change. Go! |

Uh... How is this more PvP and less PvE? You just added more NPCs. Poor idea. Also, That's nice, dear. |

The number of NPCs available to both sides would have to be revisited. The core concept I am promoting here is the obligatory mechanical scheduling of CRS so that both sides know when the fight is going to happen. I'm proud of you both for learning to say 'that's nice dear' towards trolling and flaming, but this isn't one or the other. CRS is pretty unpopular, and the 'enemies are offline relic gank' aspect is a recurring criticism of the system. Here's my idea to make it more fun. Since woahboy really likes coded in measures of victory, I feel obliged to point out that this would be a step towards- 1) Capturing enemy strongholds. 2) Siege on cities. 3) Capturing cities. I also feel obliged to point out to Opey that this could help make the Empire 'scary people with legions, man' and not just, you know, one merc. A lot of work would need to be done just to make this work as a CRS overhaul before such lofty projects could be considered, specifically to make coin earning victory-oriented and not farming-oriented. For now, let's stick to the basic idea: Mechanically obligated scheduling for CRS, and a total rebalancing. Discuss. |

Hey man... I suggested something very similar in the thread about new midnight abilities which is in a forum not many have access to. |

Well, why don't you cut out from that conversation, edit out the super ninja elite cabal secrets, and paste that here? CRS applies to all of us, so we should all get a pick at any ideas we have about it. |

That's a great question. The reason I don't do that is because I care more about getting the MC their missing cabal skill which has been gone since tribunals were implemented. How long ago was that? Seems like a long time ago. Anyone know how long ago that was? |

You can have 3 of my cabal abilities if you want. |

Thanks, but I don't want any of your cabal abilities. I want 1 of the numerous cabal abilities discussed in the MC forum. I'd even take an ability we didn't discuss in that forum. I feel like it is difficult to ask for this sort of thing without being perceived as a whiner, so please understand that I'm really not trying to whine. It has just been a year and a half since we've had one MC ability taken away. I feel like I've had 2 characters in the Empire who worked to keep/raise the MC up. |

I don't think it's whining to want to have 5 cabal abilities like every other cabal. Admittedly, it's arguable whether anybody except the Fist actually has five, since the others all have 1-3 that are useless. |
