I would like for consecrate to be added to all clergy classes - priest, shaman, hellion, and paladin. I would also like enchant to be added to all the mage classes - sorcerer, necromancer and warlock. With the small who lists lately, it is cumbersome to logon. Unless I am in quiet mode, I will usually deal with at least two to three resurrection requests and an equal number of consecration requests. I always leave resurrection requests up to chance: a coin flip, with a correct guess resulting in my help and incorrect guess - well, they can always death quest. There is a small measure of fun in that sort of RP, but there is nothing fun about consecrating or enchanting. It is tedious and makes me not want to play my priest at all. I really think that spreading the load among other casters is a good idea. |

Nothing stops you from saying no to those requests, as well. |

And then where's the game? |

If you think enchanting is bad now, you should've been around before the change to enchants. |

It is "bad" for other players because I spend most of my time in quiet mode when I play my priest nowadays. It is a bit ridiculous when you log on and you are the only priest online or the only priest that has been online for hours - it goes from being a game that is fun to being a chore that is tedious. |

Everybody voting no on this needs to smack themselves. I'm barely playing at all because I got tired of handholding and enchanting for 75% of the game. All of you need to make an effort to actually learn the game. |

All of you need to make an effort to actually learn the game. I am sort of surprised that so many people have voted against the idea. On the plus side, I will no longer feel guilty about liberally using quiet mode, ignoring tells or leaving people sitting in the afterlife. I am not sure how spreading out the "work" load of consecrate/enchant is bad for the game. This poll confirms for me that most players are selfish with their time and I need to play the same way. |

I don't think that is what the results of this thread necessarily mean, Gann. Most people who roll priests and sorcs know that enchanting/consecrating/resurrections are part of the package and they don't begrudge other characters these requests. Many specifically roll these "crucial" characters specifically to make themselves useful to others and to invite social interaction. They also may know that Dulrik is fairly intent on keeping individual classes individual and that this is a long-shot request. I HIGHLY doubt the no votes reflect, "haha no this is all your responsibility!" |
