So if you are the High Follower of a religion you can favor those in your religion that have done well.

I propose that we have Cabal/Faction leaders be able to assign seconds. I understand that there is technically no difference between the head of the cabal/faction and the second code wise (as far I understand) but maybe there should be.

Why not let the leader promote a second instead of waiting for immtervention even if the second has less powers like induction.

Thoughts?

Functionally there is no difference between a first and a second in terms of code. Any difference is RP. In a religion, you can promote to F2 but not F3. Doing this would be essentially giving someone the power to promote F3s in religions.

What's wrong with that, though?

Favoreds have a mechanical benefit but are still definitely subordinate in every way to the HF. Currently there is no equivalent to that for factions. What powers would you suggest a faction lieutenant should have? Which should they not have?

I call it lieutenant and not second-in-command, because there should potentially be multiple lieutenants and also not be a presumption of inheritance to leadership.

Maybe they can check balances on accounts and have the ability to induct members? I mean the leader could always kick someone out. Or maybe they can suggest using a new command (I know probably lots of work). Like Cabal Suggest XXXXX so that the leader can follow up or approve the induction?
