So... I'm newly playing SK again and playing a Mercenary and I am dumbfounded by how little information is actually available about weapons, either in-game or otherwise. I understand that for purposes of RP it's slightly frowned upon to min/max everything, but this game is 19 years old and the help files for the weapon types don't include a comparison that would let a new player (or old new player) make a comparison about weapons that won't possible cripple their character. There are comparison charts out there if you search really hard, but I think this is something the imms should consider putting into the forums or hep files to encourage new players. Things like: Ranked by speed Ranked by damage Ranked by accuracy On that topic, a higher variety of various 1h weapons at outstanding that are unbreakable would be great. From word of mouth, certain weapons are just not usable because there aren't any adamantite/diamond versions. To be clear, I'm happy with my weapons, but it's only because I reached out to a luckily knowledgable player. Mosco ps. Epee's? Really? Supposed to wear a shield and "fence" things to death? Just sayin. |

For what it's worth, I just thought I would throw out that we are currently working on a wiki setup that will provide a lot of this kind of information in a central friendly location. |

Sounds great. Definitely needed. I understand the staff's desire to keep some things "vague", but even vague things need some sort of context with which to compare them and having a wiki that new/old players can use as a reference point is great. |

For what it's worth, the library in the Adventurer's Guild in Teron is meant to serve as a sort of IC wiki, though it will never be as comprehensive as an OOC wiki site can be. Some players do prefer the IC flavor, though. Regarding this topic, there is a book there that contains a partial (and perhaps more accurate or up-to-date) list of weapons, specifically finesse weapons. There are some recent additions to the bookshelf there, as well, including one that just went in today and one that went in last week. |

I literally went to the bookshelf today and saw the pamphlet you are talking about. I was surprised to see the book, and gratified. It would be neat if that information was in either the help files or the academy. I do understand the desire for IC flavor like I initially said though. Thanks for the response. -Mosco |

Is the wiki still being worked on? I am willing to help where I can with my limited knowledge. I am looking forward to use it as I struggle to find things and try to figure out if I can go to certain places by myself or if I need a group. |

I had asked Algorab in a PM, and got this response today. Algorab wrote: Still being worked on sadly We're all just as excited about it as you, if not more so
