So recently I heard about some warriors being in the Fist, I have always thought that Barbs and Mercs were considered too OP for fist and were never allowed in. Heavy armor, four attacks, bash, dirt, disarm in addition to those cabal skillsets. Did this change at some point or was this never a thing . I am 100% positive that there was a limitation on that Cabal for those two classes. |

I remember someone was a barb and joined within the last year and a half or so. People were rioting about it. But I don’t remember if they were kicked out or what. That build does sound super OP though. |

Merc has always been permitted. Barb was banned before (fury/wild fighting clearly being at odds with the Fist RP and mechanics). They let in a griffon barbarian somewhere around 2 years ago. There was also an imm-approved dogmatic (grey aura) in the Hammer about 1.5 years ago. Not sure what the state of these restrictions is, but it's clearly been proven they aren't hard restrictions. I'd personally like to see these outright posted somewhere, so we as players are aware what is permitted or not, and it's not just okay for the occasional snowflake. For the record, having fourth attack/etc doesn't impact fist stuff at all. A sorceror with the enhanced damage skill (if they somehow got it) would offensively be just as effective as a mercenary, AFAIK. Jujitsu and Lightning Fists are Jujitsu and Lightning Fist regardless of what other skills you have. This is why so many people who join the Fist stop playing their character as their actual class and basically become Class : Braindead Fist. |

You can join Fist as a barbarian, but if you do you lose access to berserk and fury. There have been a few barbarians in Fist over the last couple of years. For alignments, Fist is only open to principled and scrupulous. As far as I know, there has never been a restriction against mercenaries in Fist. |
