Why did you make rogues gods when it comes to spells now? Avoiding the damage of five + magma sprays? That's insane, how are you supposed to kill that? It sounds nice in concept, but application with the way the code works is way OPed. |

Random suggestion. Find one of the other 500 ways to kill them besides using reflex-based spells. Just an idea. Crazy, I know. |

It saves against 90% of the spells in the game. Quote: [Skills help] evasion Automatic Evasion allows the target of an ability that normally allows a saving throw for half damage to instead make a saving throw for no damage. The list of abilities currently eligible for evasion include: acid blast, bolt of glory, burning hands, call lightning, chain lightning, chill touch, color spray, cone of cold, energy drain, fireball, flame strike, hellfire, lightning bolt, magma spray, shocking grasp, spear of faith, tenebrious burst, vampiric touch, acid breath, fire breath, frost breath, gas breath, and lightning breath. See also: 'saving throw' This wouldn't be bad if every caster got a fort/will/reflex spell. Now rereading it it does look like reflex saves. There seemed to be finger of death and petrification on the list last I looked. |

that's got to be the first time I've ever heard anyone say rogues are gods. |

Yeah really? I don't think rogues are broken because of evasion. Do bards get evasion too? If not they should imho. |

Yeah, just no idea with this one. |

Yeah, part of our intent when we made the rogue changes, that included evasion, was to specifically increase the strength and utility of rogues. Evasion was a part of that, and fits in that standard "rogue kit" of excelling at avoiding spell casters damage spells. There are other saves to force them to make for most casters, and they are still one of the few classes whose main bread and butter ability is largely negated by proper awareness and planning. I'm not saying the overall power level of the ability isn't high, because I do believe it's strong, but I also believe they needed something strong because they have pretty consistently floated around bottom tier for quite some time. |

I wish putting a pet behind you didn't completely negate them. I recommend that a rogue who mastered backstab and dual backstab can avoid the pet and sneak in for a stab. This would be more difficult, and you still have a chance to hit the horse instead of the target, but it should be a 100% way of defending against a stab. Maybe make it only work when the target cannot see the rogue sneaking up to make his stab? |

Bro, backstab is a one shot kill. Plenty of people aren’t smart enough to put a pet behind them. So you can get plenty of Ganks on unsuspecting people. To make rogues so they’re rarely hit by spells, make it so they can backstab through a back row pet? We’re currently discussing how they’re already too OP with evasion. And you want them to become more OP? How do you justify that! Lol Backstab the horse and circle stab is kind of all you got. Good luck. |
