I suggested this on the "Add Things to Increase Numbers" thread to a positive reception and offers to help make this happen ICly, so I think it deserves its own thread for discussion. Bring back the Black Hand and Guardians of Ayamao. They offer more chances RP beyond the rather staid MC vs Taslamar conflict, and I think these tribunals can help bring some relevancy back to the Crucible and Druids (sorry, dudes). New players could still be forced into one of the more populated kingdoms. I understand they were removed to try to condense the playbase, but it apparently had either no effect or a negative effect on counts. Bringing them back might help capture whatever interest is still around after the May peak. It doesn't make much sense to just maintain the status quo and hope numbers will increase on their own. |

There really aren't the people to do this. It will just lead to more of one tribunal piling the members and trouncing everyone else. |

Sure, if it were open, I'd definitely roll a GoA character. But Midnight Council RP is boring for a lot of folks, Crucible is castrated by relying on the Legion tribunal, and there are various reasons people don't want to be in Taslamar. Guess the cabal devoted to balance could come in to to even out lopsided cabal/tribunal wars. |

I could see the areas being opened up for vets to move to, but no tribunals. |

There aren't the people to satisfy the need. If you want it for your home for theamatic reasons that's cool. I don't see the numbers for the tribunals to become active. |

[REDACTED] I'd run a 1 man show in the black hand over playing in the legion any day. |

I see both sides of this. We need more tribunal opportunities for better RP (especially for darkies) But opening both would spread tribunals too thin. And that’s not fun since we need more interaction. So what if we were to start creating a new tribunal somewhere that could be taken over and run by the light or conquered and controlled by the darkness. Perhaps we could revamp the black hand. It would be more work, but could we change the guards, depending on if the cabal is set to lighty or darkie? Cowled Figures for when it’s set to darkies and honorable knight soldiers when it’s set for lighties? Perhaps call it the Northern Rebellion? If the swapping of NPCs is too much, just change all guards to be Rebellion Soldiers or Rebellion Berserker. Either way, the tribunal shouldn’t be neutral. It should be fought for by lighties and darkies. Dont make it a starting city. But allow people to immigrate. |

I think it's a fair point to bring these tribunals back. We tried to consolate players into three tribunals and I am not sure the experiment worked. It just makes things very binary. More choices is always better. We added more races even though players went down. I say let's bring them back. I will even log on Lydia to give the ic history of the fall of the CON to anyone who wants it and would like to build an rp plot line to bring them back. |
