Wish I could find a character concept that compelled me the way past incarnations have, but nothing seems to stick. Had big plans for this one that never really materialized for one reason or another. I originally wanted him to be a solitary, hard-line, no-nonsense greybie who'd put an arrow in a paladin just as readily as a deep-elf. With the small playerbase and high-quality interactions with characters like Chauld and Ishiye, though, he just ended up being another necromancer-hating lighty lackey and I got bored with him.

I don't have his stats or anything. Just realized I probably left some people hanging and thought I'd put the nail in the coffin.

Thanks for all the fish.

What's your advice on things to avoid if one wants to make a more neutral greybie? Avoid anti-necro RP?

I enjoyed the few RPs I had with you as Amodius, although I wish something more had come of our slight 'partnership' in the twagras thing, the giving of the winged horseshoes, etc.

Whatevs, hope to see you again. Druids that only pk darkies when the mud is 85% lighty = eh.

I didn't mean the anti-necro RP was what killed it, he should have been anti necro. What I meant was more that as the character developed, I lost the D'Astae rough edges and fell into a more passive character that ended up not being controversial enough to be interesting. I have a hard time RPing that kind of concept and slipped off of it again with this char.

It's also tough to really antagonize both sides in the game right now because there aren't enough characters online at a given time to help you out with, say, getting to the Temple of Murder or recovering your lewt if you've pissed off a few people. Yes, people pull it off, but I didn't manage it!

Special thanks to Ishiye, Chauld, Gork, Oraeus, Amodius, Nemarosa, Aneira for making this character fun while it lasted.

Never really interacted with your char, but I remember you from back in the day when you actually played as Jhorleb, and dear lords those days were dandy, with you as one of the reasons for exactly that.
So I am just here to say that I hope you play on in another incarnation :)

Aw, I'd wondered what happened to Zaafir. Rosa's missed her student. He was a very thorough character, vividly played, and I enjoyed our every interaction - although I understand concepts falling away from their intents and characters becoming more a burden than any fun.

Well done, and good luck on the next!

Can't say it comes as a surprise, you sort of disappeared lately. I actually remember the very first time I saw Zaafir. It was at the inn of Sith'a'niel and I felt immediately impressed. I am glad to have been able to interact with you and I am sorry that we never quite managed to pull off that RP I had mentioned.

Zaafir had quite the impact on my character. I am not sure whether you realised this or not. He was very much a link to Ishiye's past, but due to the friendship they had developed and the mutual care, you didn't take advantage of a very weak aspect of her personality. Knowing that you could have, made her trust him even more.

Was fun while it lasted, Jhorleb! Do come back with another, I've nothing but fond memories.

I was waiting for this Afterlife thread for a while! I was very sad to see you disappear off my flock list. I very much enjoyed our RP. He had a great story to tell and I enjoyed listening to it.

Good luck with your next.

I've got an idea Jho- you can play a gnome shaman, I'll play a giant scout, and we can tear some [REDACTED] up. ;)

I remember at least one absurdly ridiculous session of plowing through the wastelands beating the bloody tar out of everything foolish enough to cross our path.

...aaahhhhhhh, the good ol' days.
