Shattered Kingdoms

I had the privilege of seeing Menkh at the very beginning of her life when I was playing Dago, and the pleasure of seeing her at the end of her life with Rorey.

When I first saw her with Dago, I was in the middle of exterminating the harlequin with a ruthless efficiency. They had just “disbanded,” and I was in the process of figuring out who was going to be joining the “new” harlequin and trying to kill them. The “alluring” adjective immediately made me think Menkh was another mudsexing harlequin, and she was at the top of my list of suspects once I saw her interacting with Maraigh. I was young and on the warpath at the time, not really worrying about whom I was hurting. The harlequins at the time did a lot of things to annoy me OOCly and I made the regrettable decision to post a log that suggested Menkh was harlequin. This undoubtedly influenced the way some people interacted with her ICly. That wasn’t cool of me, so I’d like to apologize to Jennbo if my actions damaged her character in any way. But [REDACTED] those harlequins were annoying, and it was gratifying when they were run into the ground.

I’m glad Menkh didn’t delete after that. When I returned a year later with Rorey, Menkh was still around, and I got the chance to be in the same cabal as she was (Joseph was harlequin but short-lived and pretty anti-social). Menkh was awesome. She was always up for an adventure, helping out in pve. She was lots of fun to RP with, and was a fully developed character with her own quirks that made her unique. Like all of Jennbo’s characters, she went out of her way to help new characters and players.

It’s a shame that near the end of Menkh’s life, you apparently were involved in some of that drama that female players are always stirring up. It’s too bad that it has to spoil the afterlife thread of a character that age-died and contributed positively to the game for so long. You contribute a lot to the game and I hope to see you in game in the future. Good luck with everything.

I'm going to miss Menkh, I do not thing that any other character could have said the right things to convert my warlock from apostate to Yed.

I'm also glad that Ruxic got to know enough about your character to learn to hate and fear you for the company that you kept. Your influence will live on in his spiritual writing and studies.

I liked Menkh a lot: A solid figure that was consistent and truly added to the flavor of the game. I even got mentioned twice in the acknowledgements!

Loved Menkh, awesome character and glad you stuck with her the whole way through! Really enjoyed her with both characters of mine that interacted with her often! Keep 'em coming!

I absolutely loved Menkh. She was terrific. I was always glad when she was on the who list. I had a Yed priest for a while too. I don't know what I can say. This player and I just seem to get along well in the game. I really hope you make another character.

A shame to see her go, humans never seem to live long enough imo. Interesting interactions with you on Iychai, both good and bad. Can't say I got to interact with you much on my alts. Either way, she was a good, helpful character and it always sucks to lose another one.

I will miss Menkh, I enjoyed our interactions and your approach to the game.

I hadn't thought about this before, but was Menkh's last name meant to be a play off of those women from the Dune series?

She was always fun to be around and I'm glad I dragged her into the fire as one of my last acts. It seems she worked out better there than I could of hoped when I offered her a spot. As a player you're nothing less than always helpful to any and everyone and I appreciate you always going out of your way to help someone new to the game like I was back when you played your sorc. Cheers on another well done character, you are one of the blessings SK has to offer.
