Wow... I honestly don't even know what to say. Nosephthyki was frickity frickin awesome, and it's rare that anyone age deaths a long-lived race like this. From what I saw of her through the eyes of various characters, she was extremely well played. I can't wait to see what your next is!

Amazing character, sad to see her go but am also glad you shared such a wonderful character with us, I know you will make another and their impact with be just as amazing and perhaps even better then what you had with nose. Glad you got the chance to live her out till the very end and Sin would have been honoured to carry out your final debts, if you had any at all.

For one reason or another, none of my characters spent extended time RPing with Noseph, and I regret that. I saw enough to know that she was an awesome character with stellar and consistent RP. I also know that she went out of her way to interact with and help new players and characters, which is great. With Rorey, I found out that Nosephthyki was an absolutely clutch healer and awesome to have on pve adventures. Good luck with whatever you do next.

Funny enough my first thought when someone sent me a YIM with a log of your age death was a flash back to our first meetings between Thyki and Maraigh and her comments along the lines of "You're atrocious, how can you live with yourself." or "Filth be gone." and how by the time I deleted the comments were about the same but every once in a while I'd get a smile as well. We shared too many moments over our thousands of hours logged to even try to pick a couple to use as a highlight for one of the most acclaimed characters of her day. I just wanted to let you know that you are one of the player that made SK a love of mine and I'll always be in your debt for it. Thank you.

And you just -had- to do it during the week that I'm on vacation.

Shame, shame on you! Nosephthyki was a great character that I had the chance to interact with, with two of my characters. One back in 2009 and Toji in 2011. That, alone, speaks volumes about the depth of character that was Thyki.

Good luck with whatever you do next, but we really really really HAVE to see you with a new character :D

Thanks Jennbo, I completely failed in mentioning a specific group of people without whom Thyki would have been a whole different character. So extra special thanks to Ralina, Faerti, Terrac, Hanathena and Aase. Both IC and OOC these characters and players fought for Thyki's oathbreaker flag to be removed and for her to be fully inducted into the Druids. For me it was an amazing show of unity in the game and support for fellow players.

Syn, you were partially right, Thyki was a harlequin, but for a very brief period of time. I think you actually had a sprite sorc that joined Sadal and then the harlequin for the week I was in the cabal. Name started with an R I remember. Anyway, I had been seeking the druids for a while to no avail when Thyki's mentor Xorvithien came to her about the Harlequin. I'd been in the cabal before with a previous character and enjoyed it and I thought I could change who she was somewhat to better fit that cabal. I joined right before I moved from the USA to Japan and when I arrived in Japan I realized I couldn't play her as a harlequin. Xorvithien both IC and OOC was really awesome about letting me out without any trouble and I had just planned on leaving her an oathbreaker for the rest of her days when the Druids showed interest and well about a RL year later I was fully inducted.

I wanted to give some more insight into the character and how I played her, in case any one is interested. I deleted my previous two characters after getting a little burnt out and decided to take a break. During this time, I had a dream about a druid priestess of fate and from that Thyki was born. I really love the interplay between elves and deep elves and I know, I played her very much a diet darkie, but, I wanted to show a different side of the enmity based on the mythology and the notions of fate and balance. Not to say that playing an completely evil deep elf is easy, its actually very difficult to get a good mix of being evil and not falling into grieving other players.

I choose the aberrant alignment for her because when I make a character I try to take an aspect of myself as sort of the seed and then build the character around that based on their interactions with others and events that transpire in the game. With that said, another person who had a lasting impact on thyki that I failed to mention was Linarumien. I had three or four encounters with her starting from threats to eventual grudging respect and desire to learn. One thing Linarumien suggested for Thyki once was to seek enlightenment and through her alignment would change from dark to light. The rp was a lot of fun, but ultimately Thyki rejected this idea seeing herself as necessary in the form she was in and she would not throw that in the face of the Weaver.

Another group of players I wanted to point out, again thanks to jennbo, are the six that allowed me to take up about two hours of their time to do tarot readings in game. So Tressa, Aritha, Menkh, Amithlen, Toji and Sandhya. You guys made my last few months with her great by allowing me to explore another aspect of her RP. It was a lot of fun for me with all of you.

If anyone has any questions on my intentions with her, or just wants to know more about a part of the three year span of her life please ask, I'd be happy to answer anything.

Thank again to everyone and for all the really wonderful comments you have left and some of the stories. I had thyki through some really major changes in my own life and I tried very hard not to let those things seep into who she was too much.

Edit: I do have something new in the works. I hope that I am able to create as much enjoyment for all of you with the new one as it seems I had with Thyki.

Age deathing a deep-elf and having over 2700 play hours are both incredible feats in my opinion. I enjoyed Nospethyki alot and I did play with her a fair bin in her beginnings but as I started to stick to lighties so much for such a long time I stopped having much to do with her except for when I made the occasional druid.

I thought this character was excellent and I enjoyed playing with her. You have really had an impact on the mud for sure. Good luck with your next one.

This was deep, well thought-out character that was a true pleasure to interact with. The player was always helpful to newbies and lowbies and I really appreciate that as well.

Quite an accomplishment playing a character pretty actively over such a long period. I have age death'd a few characters but I always end up taking a break in the middle and partially coming back to them.

Best of luck on your next and congratulations on a fantastic character.

One more quick memory... Hanathena and Faerti used to always call Nosephthyki "Nose" much to her chagrin. The self-referred to "Thyki" never stuck between the two of them. Once mithrandir got on yahoo chat mic to me just so I could hear the name spoken correctly, but I don't think I could ever properly pronounce it.

From my first interaction with Nosephthyki as Caeserea to my last interaction with her as a sprite who couldn't pronounce her name to save her life (why yes, "Miss No-ki," that was me), this character has been an absolute pleasure. My hats off to you! :)
