Whether you were involved or not, you're defending their actions, which were incredibly lame. It's lame no matter who does it. And as the op stated, they attacked him on sight, which suggests to me that they didn't give him a chance to rp.

And while dying may not be an actual setback, it should be rped out. Kahn could have initiated that afterdeath rp, sure (assuming the attackers stuck around), and I really wish he hadn't rage deleted because that was lame too. But that doesn't make what happened justifiable.

I haven't seen anyone defend it, merely point out hypocritical comments perceived and how they dealt with the same situation themselves. You guys are so angsty to start a fight.

mageZorekin, I'm sorry you had such a griefed time. I wish I wasn't in classes so I coulda been around more during the times you were around so I could help you and offset the griefing. I'm sorry others weren't there to do the same. I do hope you come back to the lightie side (or, screw the lighties, but my side) and continue playing.

Why do you say that jennbo? Most of the darkies around me are helpful and willing to interact with lowbies.

Also my worst been-pked experiences have been with my darkie. Zero arpee. Nada. They come, try to kill me, loot and leave without a word. The only brilliant exception to this has been Ithorim.

Having experienced both poles in the past six months, I must admit that both teams have taken actions that I disagree with or that in both teams there are players that I think low of.

As someone who was in the group, I will just say this. There were a number of things said within the group that didn't condone the actions by the person who initiated the kill. Both ICly and OOCly. The coin theft was the icing on the cake for me really. There will always be casualties when one side or the other is raging through cities. That's also the risk you get when you roll a griffon. I would expect the same for elves and deep elves.

I'm not saying ganking lowbies, or this kill specifically, is acceptable by any means. What I am saying is with one of those three races the chance is relatively higher that it will happen than playing certain other races. Less rage deletion needed.

That's true! Perhaps I've seen a lot of bad experience on my character. I actually rolled a darkie alt the day the clique thread came out in the forum leaders thread, so I had my leader flag removed and rolled up an alt just because I like to play with different people and see other perspectives rather than sit around and hang with the same people all the time. Anyway, I really shouldn't harp on this too too much, but with the particular people that mageZorekin is complaining about, I definitely see that player's PoV and I wish that the players involved with be more considerate and willing to RP and less into meta-gaming.

All I can say is, if you want people to play with you, have some respect. Quite frankly if I were getting the nonstop kill loot I just wouldn't bother playing, it isn't fun. *shrug*

Edit: This goes for anyone, when one side is horribly lopsided at any point during the evening and you know the otherside is just going to hunt and kill you with large numbers and not stop until they do so, then there is no point in sticking around. I understand PK is fun and it's part of the game, but you have to do it with some moderation.

Sorry, when a group of really bad dudes is sitting around an enemy inn discussing how pleased with themselves they are that the griffon infestation's been rooted out, and a griffon recalls, it gets the hose again, and then it gets butchered and snacked on.

Is that the other story? I had hoped it was a bit more than that. Did you really have to butcher the corpse and loot him?
