I enjoyed most my RP's with lirimaer, even the RP's about lirimaer I got from others - All in all she and my character had their differences. IC, Lina considered her a good-natured woman with just too many mood swings and too many caprices to ever see her own plans through. Even so, she respected that lirimaer's choice was to achieve things almost solely based on emotion, and by pleading to the emotions of others - Something Lina always thought of as unproductive, but that's another story.
The only reason I cut my ties with the character was because of the OOC bad blood that appeared between me and the player when I approached her about an RP to let her know that there were no hard feelings or any intention to hurt or insult the player herself. I gathered then that the character's mood swings were not privy to the character itself, but I suppose we can all be sentimental about our long-played characters at times. At that point however, I decided not to bother with this character again in order to keep any further vexations to either me or her.
Seems all aludrans I conflict with end up starting the OOC war. Oh well, what I learned there is that I'm never again following opposition RP versus a character who seems to act up emotionally in the game. Since I can't be sure that player makes the IC/OOC separation, I'd rather just live and let live, so to speak.
I hope you have fun with your next char, if you make one. Congrats on keeping liri to her death. I believe she was all in all a solid char. She was far from perfect, and in my opinion not of principled alignment, but she was fun to a lot of people, even to those who hated her
Whatever bad memories I had of her I have waived some time ago in favor of the good times, couple years ago.
Dear Erevan,
It is not Aludrans or players of Aludrans who you should avoid roleplaying with.
Linarumien and Lirimaer did not see eye to eye on a great many things. This is true. Still, over time, Lirimaer came to accept that they both wished to accomplish things but went about it in a different way.
Linarumien was down right condescending to everyone. That is just the way she is.
Before you cast the first stone towards players of a faith, perhaps you should go back to your YIM logs and read and understand WHY people may not like YOU. That is YOU the player.
May I point out that the moment Linarumien decided she did not like someone, she made their lives miserable. She did that to Caes, Amadeo and Lirimaer. She would go out of her way to insult, degrade and debase them. Linarumien acted as if she was the all knowing and had every right to tell others how to act. She was, as others have said, very little more than a Tyrant. Well intentioned, but a Tyrant.
As for you, my issue with you and the reason I removed you from my YIM list was your constant need to come at me and tell me HOW MUCH LIRIMAER sucks and HOW PERFECT LINA was. HELLOOOOO. That is just an attack on another player and strictly uncalled for. You can completely disagree with a character's concept, think it is lame but you don't need to attack the player for it. You felt the need to be condescending and discuss just how perfect your character was and how you researched long hours and Lina was doing everything perfect.
I learned a LONG, LONG time ago what this is called. You put down others to make yourself feel better. You have a low self-worth so you bolster it at the expense of others. I'm sorry.
Suzie and I don't agree on everything. We've gone rounds and cussed each other out. In the end, we come back and talk to each other as people. We focus on the good we have in common. I don't have to agree with everything she does and I don't. She doesn't agree with everything I do. We accept each other as people and accept that we are different people.
Learn to have a little respect for other people and you might find that people like you. Also, try apologizing when you are out of line and mean it. It will get you very far in life.
