Harsh criticism aside, you've had better characters since. Avoid the silly crap you did with Joow and I'm sure you'll continue to grow into a fine player.

This death saddens me. Too bad I started playing too late to talk to him one last time.

I had sympathy for Joow. I felt he got the runaround when he was genuinely seeking atonement. Especially when dealing with a new player, you have give tasks that will teach the lesson in themselves. If they understood the spirit of the thing, they wouldn't have goofed up in the first place. I don't approve of OOC tells, but this had to be immensely frustrating.

That said, characters really do have to be played according to their alignment and race. There's nothing wrong with fraternizing with opposite auras if one is true to one's own alignment. But Joow never really struck me as either the principled teacher or the scrupulous crusader. And while I think griffons are essentially comic characters, spritely hijinks work best for sprites. Unselfish griffons should be a bit more concerned about how others would feel, even if their ideas on this are off-kilter.

Still, I've seen worse from a character, and I'm glad to hear you've stuck with it and improved.

This one griffon caused no small impact in the game. Thanks for all the good times and all the bad too. Plenty of both. It was difficult to decide whether to like or dislike the griffon, and/or whether he deserved the treatments he received. From a limited perspective, he tried to be good always - that had to mean something. Best of luck with all future characters, lots of PK, lots of RP. Rest in peace, Joowy.

I think my favorite line was when he said something along the lines of

'We had orson flee the group'

...And he was referring to retreat.
