Shattered Kingdoms

After a bit of a dark period where I struggled between work and writing music, I decided I'd give good old SK another run. At first I felt a bit out of touch, or maybe just out of the circle jerk. In any case I soon had no trouble at all finding old friends and making new ones with my usual antics. From smacking people around on Tyto, to getting smacked around on Tyto, even the multiple times I got owned with Rinax were a blast. This is not a rage deletion, though. This is me realizing that I've become a bit too involved in SK and less and less productive with my music. I give IC thanks to any that went out of there way to enchant, RP, or die alongside me. I give OOC thanks to Mitch for letting me vent to no end about SK, life, and music. Much cheaper then counseling. Anyhow, it has been real folks. You're all ok in my book except Finney. Screw that guy. Just kidding Finney but I hate you.

Ah, Tyler, you're such a jerk for posting that last link. That was totally going to be my theme song in the "fight songs" thread in GD along with a snippet of your final death. <3

I don't think much can be said here that we haven't already talked about via other sources. You're a talented artist and I hope the day comes when your hard work does shine through and big things happen for you. Keep on keepin' on, man. I know i've said it before but i'll say it again as a reminder for you when you check the pages again:

If you give up on your music thing I can, and will come down to Wichita and beat the breaks out of you, sir. Not everyone gets the gift you've been given and I hope you don't squander it.

Only real interaction I got was enchanting, which is always fun. Time management really isnt that fun a thing when you have to cut something. SK is a large time sink. Coming back to SK after time away is a mostly good experience not knowing the OOC circle is I find more fun than knowing anyone in it. Well when you make it big dont forget to mention SK to your fans.

Tyto was a good bit of fun those times when we got to run around and 2v2 for a bit, as trying on your patience as that probably was.

Rinax created a very interesting situation and it was fun to a part of that.

Was good times rebuilding the MC with Tyto (and spending the vast majority of those early days quite dead). I can't say I didn't enjoy getting to kill my old knightlord, too.

Good luck with your future endeavors, and if you come back to SK, we can go get ourselves killed again.

Aww. While I can't say I'll miss the pressure that we felt while Rinax was on, I'm still sad to see a competent player have to hang up his hat. But if it's a choice between focusing on your career and playing a game -- well, that's an easy choice.

Listening to the youtube link while I post this -- it's not my scene, but it's got a good sound. Good luck with your music, and I'll echo I_B's sentiment: beatdown if you don't exercise your talent.
