This is a really late afterlife thread. Rilian was a heck of a lot of fun to play, but about a month ago my first child was born, and I find that it's really impossible for me to play SK with any semblance of character presence with my current responsibilities.
Rilian was initially created because I had some free time and wanted to beat up Irition so that people would stop whining about how OP necros are. To that end, I was 100% successful. It's pretty silly how easy necros are to dismantle. That said, before I even got to that point Rilian immediately turned into a character that I got very invested in mainly on account of Tikka, and all of his early and late interactions with so many other fun lighties to play with and darkies to play against. First and foremost, thanks a lot to Tikka. You really made this character immensely more enjoyable from even out of the gate. I can't remember all of the fun people I interacted with, but I definitely have to give a shout out to Trag for the awesome going out RP of Irition, to Solomon for being the perfect nemesis that I regrettably never got to have a climactic duel with, and to Tikka and Aodh for being my enchant and hang-out buddies.
I mostly regret for this character leaving so many open-ended RPs that just died on account of my inactivity. Huge shout outs to the IMMs who ran Irition's death RP and were following up with the corruption RP afterwards, I really wish I had gotten to bring that to a conclusion. Also, my apologies to the few squires that I had started with but just never got to get off the ground due to time/activity constraints.
Paladins are a blast to play from the RP and gameplay standpoint, and I greatly enjoyed him. However, I just don't have the ability to maintain a character on SK at the time, especially since my main enjoyment out of SK (the mechanics) has dwindled in recent past, so a lot of my gameplay time is focused on other games with more solid balance features. Heck, I'm just now retiring him and creating an afterlife two months late. Thanks for all the times that you guys gave to Rilian, and I hope he was enjoyable too! Maybe we'll cross paths in the future sometime.
