If it's not too long, you can use your location like I just did.

It's the standard theme at present (called 'subsilver2') - same colour scheme phpBB was originally released with, way back when.

SK's forums have always had a light and a dark theme. I'm in the process of bringing both back, however it's not possible to simply migrate the old styles - I need to do some tweaking and build each one. Obvious example being the horrible resizing going on with the logo at top left, for example.

Other tasks include:
* Rebuild the search index
* Bring ForumID back online
* TMS vote button with SK's ranking
* Captcha and other registration stuff

(and yeah, I think the pointy chin smilies are sucky too :)

The forums are now back online after a major upgrade. We're slowly bringing the formatting back to the intended Shattered Kingdoms styling and also bringing the additional components online, for example the FORUMID command may not update memberships for a day or two.

Could you explain what you mean by the bolded part? What is the final goal supposed to be here? And what do you mean by bringing additional components like forumID back online? How did it work previously?

If it's unclear, what we've done is upgrade to the newest available version of the phpBB bulletin board software. It's been awhile since we did a major update, so there are a lot of "new" features. But we had also done some customization on the old forums that will require some effort to restore. Such as:

- The old forum's default color scheme was the purple theme. We'll move back to using purple as the default as soon as Viltrax has the time to set it up. If you happen to like this color, the old forum had the option to use it all along, but you had to explicitly select it in your profile. You'll be able to do that again.

- The forumID command is what associates your character in the game with access to faction specific groups on the forums. You can still use the forumID command in the game. That command puts you into a queue which the new forum isn't reading yet. Once some updates are made, all backlogged forumID updates will get processed by the new forum software. So only use the forumID command once - spamming it will not help.

I'm honestly not entirely sure what new features are available so far, but we do want to get the Facebook Like button working. The availability of a Like MOD for the latest phpBB was one of the triggers to do the update.

You should hold some small contest so that some players that are familiar with the color scheming of forums can submit a few more schemes to add on top of the purple one. Or the ability for users to customize the scheme in their profiles. I like the second idea better. Probably a mod out there for that.
