I am sure they can, it's no big secret. That wasn't really the point, though. Granted, I am starting to think that it doesn't really matter anyway.

Yes, replace this piece of lewt with a holy hand grenade. It'll cast holy word when used (thrown).

He's supposed to be blind, jeeze, how hard is that to understand? The only reason you don't want him blind is because of his loot.

It's already difficult enough for people that actually roleplay their alignment as a white aura character to get loot.

I was also unaware that it had to be faded for darkies to make use of it. That by itself makes it almost a completely useless piece of equipment and the vnum could be used for something better.

All-in-all though, the wastelands equipment is a pale shadow of its former glory.

Kinda like how the blackwing lair and molten core loot lost its shine when the burning crusade came out.

Still, Not all loot needs to be 'useful' to PC's, you know. Some should be for rp purposes alone. One thing however, I'd love it if such 'important' or unique NPC's would somehow interract with players more. Take felgaros as an example. (though maybe a biased one, as fort tethos is and most likely will always be, my favorite area in SK. Thank you, tatali0n.)

I'm not suggesting each and every NPC should be scripted. but there should be ways for the pcs to find ic information on NPCs and areas of such importance, wether it be by book or tale some npc will speak when a quest is completed or whatnot.

If the limited point thing is in effect like I was led to believe, the points should be returned into something useful.

It's not really like that at all. WoW keeps players collecting equipment by making the newest top-end gear better than the previous top-end gear. This is a very old concept known as mud-flation. One of the design decisions we made when starting SK is that we wouldn't be using mud-flation. There is a consistant standard for how good equipment is allowed to be for it's level and that standard does not upwardly change over time.

In fact, the reason the wastelands equipment is not as good is due to the opposite. After so many years of being online and creating new areas, the game was overloaded with too much good equipment, so we had to create stricter new standards to limit the amount of top-end gear per area.

SK Character: Salak
It makes me sad to see that so many people want to break one of my NPC concepts because they 'want more loot' in a game that already has plenty of loot to begin with.

I'm so very sad.

:(
