I have been reasonable the whole time. I knew that pulling you aside would be reactive and so I wanted witnesses. Only you think we were being unreasonable. You stated you were RPing. Your reasoning was mostly valid to us. You were reasonable. We simply asked that your first move after landing charm person be order all remove all. If taking you to a place where you can be safe to chat from PK while we discussed the issue is unreasonable, then next time we'll distract you with numerous tells while you're dodging PKs. I'll happily say that the conclusion of the incident was that it was overall BS, but that our reason for doing so was only to discuss your interpretation of the spell's use. Punishments were threatened, but never imposed because you did give valid reasoning and we do agree with the need for a change. We just CANNOT enact the change. Please understand and interpret our message as saying that charm person is "bugged". I apologize for the lag between our recognizing the issue as players and staff and the appropriate response to that situation.

I comprehend that you can not change it, but just because Dulrik is too slow at doing things doesn't excuse your policing of it. I mean, when you threaten to punish someone, you are not coming across as 'reasonable' nor friendly. It is 'our way or the high way' mentality you are pushing across.

And that's fine, I don't say you shouldn't use that, I just don't wish to play if that's the case. And you're fine with that too.

So I fail to understand why you feel the need to spin it to make it look like I was totally unreasonable, threw a 'tantrum' and quit out of emo-raged spite...when in fact, I just simply quit because I knew this was the slippery-slope deal. Now you talk, but next time I do it, you can punish at your whim because you have already established we 'talked' and I 'understood' whatever.

See, that's why I consider it bs. Whether or not I order all remove all or order all emote touches self tenderly is entirely up to me and based on previously established RP. Not something the imms should be policing.

That's how I feel about it. Also, the amount of teenage angst and hatred that flows around here is outright disgusting.

I can't honestly believe you would want to have anything administratively to do with this place. It's really getting worse as time goes on and although I do believe you do some (in my opinion at least) stupid things or things in stupid ways, I am either impressed by your ability to not be jaded by it or confused as to why you haven't been yet.

Either way, it's just a game, and all the drama is really sad.

Welcome to my house. Its right in between a wall of force and a boulder the size of Pyrathia. Yes, there's drama. No, I'm not upset. I realized that you chose to not play because of the slippery slope. Its frustrating all around. I still try my best because I want everyone to be able to enjoy the game with as little interference as possible. CP makes our job harder as it is right now because it is in need of improvement. Thanks for playing with us.

I have an idea.

I think the IMMs should make a habit of getting together and deciding what is punishable and what isn't -before- they take a player aside and threaten him even though he didn't break any rules.

They could even post such rules in a public forum where anyone had access to them. That'd be a good idea.

I think backstab bug ganking and looting someone should be punishable by deletion.

That is all.

Because omniscience in regards to what spells/skills/situations might need special rules set for them is a common trait in all volunteer immortals of SK. So damn them for not having done this ahead of time.

In addition, we will be scrutinizing any charm logs sent to us much more carefully. Lack of role-playing by either the charmer or charmee may make the player eligible for a XP penalty due to poor RP.

This is from a post made by the Implementor in the Announcement forum. He has the final say. We were following his wishes.

I hope my sarcasm was obvious enough that you're agreeing with what I actually said.
