were old when the gods were young. Beyond the reach of memory, they had
existed, pure and barren, devoid of life and consciousness, yet they lived.

In the beginning, the gods created the world from the elemental planes. They
brought forth earth to lay its foundation, and called down fire to fill its
core. They filled the skies with air, and poured water into the low places.

An age passed, and life arose.

In the beginning, the gods created the races and filled the world with all
manner of living things. Life crawled upon the earth, swam in the water, flew
in the air, and even burrowed close to the fire. The world existed, teeming
and fertile, filled with life and consciousness. And in the barren places of
the world, something also lived and began to stir.

An aged passed, and life matured.

As life evolved, the races began to mimic the powers of the gods. They drew
upon the powers of the world around them. They prayed to the heavens and
summoned forth divine energies. They even opened channels to the elemental
planes. And in the barren places of the world, something awoke and came into
consciousness.

It reached forth with its mind, and sensed both the elements and the life
among them. For a millenium, it studied the world and that which existed with
the air, water, fire and earth. It bided its time, growing in strength as
more elemental energy was brought into the world.

When it came fully into its own power, Khore was born. Three mortals played
an instrumental role in this, by uniting the four parts of the Elemental Key:
Bregan, a priest of Yenko; Savax, a neutral swashbuckler; and Qazpe, a
mercenary of the Light.

Khore formed Himself in the image of a deep gnome, the closest race He could
could sense while probed the world. He is by no means attractive and
unfortunately, has a personality to match his appearance. He is not happy to
be in this world, but is wise enough to realize that He cannot match the
combined might of the other gods (who would no doubt object to him taking the
elements back to His native plane). As a result, He is a bit grumpy and has a
temper as explosive as a volcano, or an earthquake, or a tornado, or a tidal
wave (etcetera, etcetera, ad nauseum, ad infinitum).

Khore is worshiped by those who call upon the elemental planes for power, and
anyone who is close to the barren places of the world. The latter include
sailors, dwarves, gnomes, and some halflings and deep-elf (though Khore is not
interested in the concepts of good and evil). He is mainly interested in
ensuring that those who call upon elemental powers pay proper tribute to
Himself, the lord of the elemental plane. He is not interested in priestly
followers, but He is susceptible to flattery. Any priest who would follow
Khore will need to remind Him that He is worthy of worship.

Where the being known as Rishivel came from is unknown. What the
knowledge seekers of Lord Zarathustra have learned is that he was traveling
the celestial realms, revelling in his followers' victory over evil in the
last plane of existence he visited. He was seeking a new world where
darkness reigned and the Righteous were persecuted. His travels
brought him near our world. The screams of the innocent and the smell
of their blood on the swords of darkness caught his notice. He
spent a short amount of time observing the on-going conflict between Light
and Dark, then made himself known to strengthen the Righteous in their
battles. What his true appearance is, none know. When he first appeared,
he choose the form of that which those of our Realms consider the embodiment
of all that is Good - an elf. He always appears arrayed in full battle
armor which blazes with the Holy Light of Pure Righteousness.
He accepts into his Church paladins and any of the White Aura that
stand for the defeat of Evil through battle and through living as an
example of Righteousness. His priests have made it known that any who
feel they are suitable for his Church should seek out one of them. If the
priest they speak to deems them worthy, only then do they seek the God's
blessing for admittance. His followers and paladins are different from
others in that during periods of peace, they are held to a less stringent
standard. Most are light-hearted and enjoy life. In battle, they do
anything it takes to defeat the darkness within the bounds of their own
personal code of honor with some advice and guidelines from their god.
There is no single standard for honor as this god of Battle knows that Honor
comes from within and that a single code cannot be imposed on everyone, and
not everyone can be held to the same standard.

In the Darkest of Days a bank of brilliant white light flared
in the Heavens and there descended upon the wings of a Silver Dragon an
Immortal. To be known by mortal men as Xandrennus, he was the paragon of
Paladin Virtue, come to drive back the encroaching Night.
And so an army of knights and virtuous warriors rallied to his
call, and the Darkness was, at length, thrown back. The realms of men
were given a brief respite, a semblance of peace returned to these
sundered lands. So the Lord Xandrennus retired to his palace atop the
Silver Wynds Mountains, there to slumber, awaiting the End of Days when
he shall arise once more to see his Duty done.
But his children, his Chosen, remain. Theirs is the sacred
trust, to keep His watch and hold fast to His Duty, to guard against the
rising Dark and the End of Days when He shall rise again.
Of the many souls that wander these Shattered Kingdoms, but a
chosen few shall hear the sacred calling of the Dragon's dreams. Pure of
heart and principled of creed, they shall unite under his church and to
them shall fall the sacred Duty of standing guard against the Dark
whilst their Master slumbers, watchmen against the inevitability of the
End of Days.
In days past, many great knights rallied to the standard of the
Silver Dragon. But no longer, for the Lord slumbers, and but a few such
holy warriors now remain. It is no longer His divine wish for armies to
be raised in His name. His children now will be the watchmen of virtue.
His dreams command those that hear his call to remain true to the
tenants of the virtues he holds sacred, but to best prepare the people
of these realms by teaching His ways unto others. Paladins no longer
shall be invested, for that may confuse this, his final mission.

Gifted long ago by the evil god Dreddnahr unto his mortal concubine, Finola,
Jinnahra was brought into existence in hopes that she might destabilize the
Pantheon. The extent of her power and cruelty, however, would come to
surprise even Dreddnahr himself.

Jinnahra was born in the dimension of mortal men, but was soon taken to the
Daemon Realm by Dreddnahr when her growing powers proved to be too much for
her mother. By the time she grew to adolescence, Hell had begun to bore the
Princess. She returned to the mortal realms of her own volition, beguiling
many with her youth and beauty, which masked a cold intellect suitable for a
daughter raised by the Father of Lies. Many lives were ruined for her
amusement, in unholy intrigues, in orgies of capricious cruelty.

Though her spheres of influence paralleled her father's, Jinnahra was far from
His puppet. As time passed, the power He once wielded in this world fell
firmly into her grasp, and His dreaded name was forgotten by many.

It is said that Jinnahra's wickedness was finally brought to an end
by the Goddess of Healing, Meissa. As the story goes,
Jinnahra had arranged to capture Meissa's essence in an enchanted crystal,
forcibly keeping Her away from the realm of mortals. With the help of
Meissa's devoted followers, however, she was able to escape from this prison.

Meissa, in an effort to spare the world further Cruelty, trapped Jinnahra
in a crystal very similar to the one which the Minx had used to remove Her
influence. But because of Jinnahra's half-mortal origin, the crystal
could not contain her. It fell to pieces, and she perished, impaled by its
brilliant shards.

But from the destruction fled a small wisp of shadow - a distillation of that
part of the Minx that could not die. It was the evil which is Untruth, the
same spirit that empowered Her father, and it would coalesce once more into
the epitome of deceit, intrigue, and betrayal, the terrible Thuban.

Zynor has been spoken about since the races learned to fear the gods. He
was said to be the most supremely evil of all the gods, and most say, he
sleeps, occasionally visiting the other Immortals in their dreams. Like
Dulrik, he was said to have awesome power, even more than the greatest of
them all. It was once said that the Lord of Blood shall descend on the
world in the Last Day of Creation and destroy it with a single blow. The
demise of Lord Zynor gave way to the appearance of the goddess Dabi - his
daughter.

suddenly, the bright white glow that had always lit Indigo's eyes was
extinguished. It began to rain. Relynah stood up from the now empty spot
in which the Goddess of Nature had lain, made her way to the forest floor,
and moved on. But Nature had chosen her, and the power handed down to her
by her former goddess began to manifest. With a deafening roar, the woman
Relynah and the wilderness embraced and became one consciousness. So began
the existence of Relynah, Goddess of Nature.
Lady Relynah is one of the few of the Almighty who have lived a full and
rewarding mortal life before ascending to her place in the pantheon. Because of
this, she can be regarded by mortals and immortals alike as a wildcard, unpredictable
and free. Her traits as a mortal are known, but any change in her motivations,
moods, and personality caused by her deification is an uknown quality..
Perhaps there are no changes. Perhaps many. The mortals will certainly
find out in time, as will the older immortals. Nature, meanwhile, continues
its cycle, as it always has.

It's a shame there's not one for the less prominent deities. Isam was god of dreams if I recall? Ghania became Dabi, btw. But what about Bane? Any chance all this can be composed and assorted chronologically, to get a more concrete view of how the mythology evolved?

All the imms my first 3 characters followed lost their help files :) I think it's kinda cool that I was able to pick out the imms to follow that later got the delete-hammer by Dulrik.

This non-sensical mythology is why we moved to the static pantheon. Other than for nostalgic reasons, there is no reason to collect this information. If you run into references to non-static pantheon gods in the game, they should be typo'd so that we can update it to the appropriate god name. Yes, I'm fine with retroactive continuity in this case.
