What is your opinion of the fights in the Empire Coliseum?

I love the fact something like this is in the game, but it bothers me that some players 'break' the concept they've been following up until now so that they can join this event.

Somehow the excuse that comes up is 'its imm sponsored and that makes everything alright' which rather bothers me, but as they say, oh well.
I just wish there were events for us that don't so much enjoy battle as well :p

Yeah, there are events that don't involve fighting.

And it is lame that people would break their characters morals, I agree entirely. But that's their call to make, and I would think it fun to have IC consequences by people who feel as we do, rather than QQing on the forums about it.

Maybe its an end-justifies-the-means kind of solution to a problem the character faces. I could speculate on various reasons that a person might participate, but yes I agree, if your concept or vows keep you from participating, there should be appropriate IC response.

It does suck people break the RP of characters for the fights... BUT... Its alot funner to watch the fist wtfpwn groups in the 3vs3. I think there should be a whole fight dedicated to it.... How many people does it take to beat the fist!

I sorta just got back into the game and I haven't looked into this stuff yet. It's nice to see the coliseum used as a coliseum though.
