Okay. So it's rounding on a MONTH that the forumid command is basically useless.

Do you folks have any idea the changes that happen in an average month, and what sort of balls are probably being dropped due to the failure to talk to the appropriate players in forum?

PLEASE, can this be a priority? Everyone is asking for it! Either that, or take the time to go through and manually add some people to their membergroups. As the only immortal-condoned form of OOC communication, one would think that this would have been taken care of already. I have an issue that I'd like to bring up, but I can't contact the necessary people to get the ball rolling. I know there are others, as well.

THANK YOU!

Seconded, I know most of the people in the organization I'm in would like to be able to discuss things about that organization!

I would like to remind you that the forums are run, almost exclusively, by Viltrax.

Viltrax is Australian.

Australia has been devastated by flooding in the past month.

He is too busy holding his breath, clinging to a kangaroo, and waiting for his boomerang to return.

I am sure he will deal with the forumID command as soon as IRL issues have ended.

I'm aware that he does most of the forum stuff. I'm also aware of the floods.

Do you know how a team works? When one member of a team can't do what he normally does, then usually the other team members pitch in to pick up the slack. This game suffers greatly from the lack of teamwork from the staff. Forumid is merely one example of this.

I, being a Programmer/Analyst and having worked on Web Applications at Rural Sourcing, Inc., would love to pitch in and help with the website items.

Yeah, I'll see if we can expedite forumID functionality. The web admin stuff is pretty compartmentalized though. I've never touched most of it, so bringing someone up to speed would require Viltrax anyway. Sorry. We'll get it working as soon as possible.

Okay I'm back up for air, but my new work location has me needing to set up another VPN link to get access to the various things I need to fix FORUMID.

One thing to note about what I need to do -
We were tinkering with the old forums in a rather direct way to automatically manage forum memberships. This now needs to be reinvented under the new phpBB architecture, retested and then implemented.

I'm sure it's doable and we'll get it up and running within a week or two, but for now I have more free time at work than I have at home - just not a lot of connectivty at present.

Thanks for your patience so far.

Should be fixed. I've added a note to the message of the day and also created a new help file called "FORUMID-RESET" that explains how to force a resync if you don't think you've got access to what you should.
