Good evening, fellow SKers.

I am here to speak on behalf of the staff about a little detrimental thing called the rumor mill. We know that players communicate OOCly beyond the games and the forums, through YIM, AIM, mIRC, email and other venues. Hell, I still do it myself. I'd like to simply warn/remind everyone that these communications are detached from the game. So, if someone decides to use an outside communication to boast about something that hasn't actually happened or to grief another player, there's not much that can be done by us to stop or prevent it.

However, I will say that the staff speaks directly to players when there is an issue. We won't be sending a third party via OOC medium to tell you to watch out or there will be consequences, ever. If you hear such a thing, I would suggest a generous sprinkling of salt. Also, we are always willing to answer questions and concerns if ever there are any. My inbox is always open, and everyone on the staff feels the same way. I certainly can't promise that we won't make some choices that you won't agree with now and then, but we will provide you answers and justification if you've a query.

If Werttrew tells you on Skype that Meissa did him a favor that you think is bogus, ask me about it. I'll let you know what's up.

No one wants to know what Wert had you do over Skype.

I thought the rumor mill drove SK. I mean I remember hearing a rumor about bards in 2000 and see how that turned out. Do not squash the gossip.

PS also anyone using MSN still your services is about to be shut off if you havent already realized time to migrate to skype.

Gossip away. However, please assume that Immortal communications in particular will be conveyed by Immortals. It's amazing to hear through the mill what we're supposedly up to and how those supposed actions affect player decisions.
