Well, yesterday another bard's countersongs made my bard attack him. This IS a bug, isn't it?

If that other bard was dancing, and you were singing, his countersong will do damage to you and then, of course, start melee combat with you.

Let me add to this thread. The bug was this:

My countersong made HIM attack ME, but HE was the only one then charged with a crime for it.

It would be very lame if bards could use their songs to force combat and get people jailed as well IMO (and I play a bard).

Hmm.. that's a completely different story from the first post.

You should only be attacked by him because you first did damage to him with your song. And that damage ought to be recorded as the beginning of the fight by the combat system. Was he somehow immune to your song and therefore didn't get marked as taking damage?

I don't know about that and I'm not certain that I danced for it either. Unfortunately we didn't log it, but testing the different cases shouldn't be too hard. He was a much higher level than me, that much is certain. Actually I remeber he didn't attack me untill it said something about disounance.

I shall check the log if I have kept it and log back (I am logging in from a netcafe these days, and there is a mess with my logs)
