 Post subject: Detect poison

I don't know if it's just me, but for some reason I can't cast detect poison on fountains of any kind. I get a message saying I'm not holding that instead of the spell casting where in the help file it says you are suppose to be able to cast it on fountains and such.

Unfortunately, since detect poison is a total waste of space, nobody cares.

fountains can be plagued....not poisoned.

There are, I believe, fountains out there that can poison you.

I believe cure poison detects the plague too.

Detect poison is somewhat misnamed in that it can detect both poison in
food or drink as well as the presence of the plague in fountains.

See also: poison plague 'cure poison' 'cure disease'


I only use it to detect the plague in fountains when a city has been plagued, so it would be helpful it was fixed.

How about making detect poison a passive skill? It's so infrequently used that about the only time I see it getting used is if its held ALL THE TIME. which is, of course, never going to happen.
