You can't concentrate enough.

INT: Smart

Spirit disorientation had ended some minutes ago.

Is that okay?

What is your question?

How does a spell demand more concentration than a sittiing high-smart offers? Is this normal? My question is whether rift actually needs a maxed int to cast even while sitting or if it's a bug.

Sometimes, for some reason (and no, we don't know why...haven't ever been able to track it down or reliably duplicate it to debug it), characters act as if their stats are much lower than they really are.

One thing we always suggest when you run across something like this is logging out, then back in to see if that helps. It certain fixes the above bug wherein stats are temporarily screwy.

Other than that... *shrugs* Again, this is the sort of question far better asked about in-game than on the forums. At least one of us could then have tried to look at your character there, to see what things might have been affecting your character, or how this might have been fixed. But here? None of that can be done.

I prayed, Algorab. No one answered. I'll pray again when I log back in.

Just did: It's still not fixed. I remember similar things happening with my previous hellion but I never found out if it was just a very low concentration of his.

PS: During and after spirit disorientation, my att scores didn't change at all, or so it showed on the status screen. Perhaps this is relevant.

I've had the same thing happen to my hellion before. My stats didn't appear different, but it seems to be a problem with releasing spells correctly... or something like that. I really have no clue :x

As for casting rift, I can't remember how much int it takes. Smart is what... 11-15? It's possible that you can't cast it yet. Logging out and back in has fixed the concentration bug every time i've heard of it, so if it still doesn't work get some int mods and try again. I know you can definetely cast rift with 16 int.

Yeah, rift/dominate and whatnot are all VERY high concentration spells. Even sitting you'll find that you won't be able to cast the spells untill you are near brilliant.
