The timer for a removed relic is something like 6 ticks, right? I brought the harly relic back originally in about 2-3 ticks, gave it to my guardian, then two IRL days passed, i discharged it, handed it to adept guardian, destrivai discharged it briefly to see the enchants, gave it back to the adept guardian, then discharged it this morning and tried to bring it back to the hammer guardian. Upon discharge, the relic disapeared. Now, is this because of the timer not being reset, a limit to the number of times the relic can be discharged, or something else?

I haven't got access to any of the forums with details on this currently, but I don't recall the timing being meant to reset. I had half a recollection, that, (way back when it was first introduced when I read this) D specifically said in his post concerning this that the timers wouldn't reset.

As I say though, an age since I read about this, so I could be wrong.

Grelden is right, the timer never resets. And it should be like that IMO, else someone can wear relics for 5 ticks, return them then for the times to reset and keep doing it. Relics are not meant to wander around the realms, only to stay at the guardians.

If you steal the relic of a cabal you're at war with, the short-term reward it gives you while wearing it is a bonus to help you get out of there and rush to your own guardian.

It wasn't meant to be super-candy that you can give out to all your friends once you've got it stored safely behind your own locked doors.

Out of curiousity, has anyone ever had ALL relics? It may have happened, but I'm yet to be online when it has...

The Adepts did the first night the system went online. I REALLY wana see someone 'wear' them all, get spam healed and take the GGI or the Vaerlaask or whatever it's called.

Hah. No alliance or anything, right? I mean, aside from my general disgust with the CRS and the disagreement I had with the RP decisions made by Sorel, this just ices the cake.

GG!

The mentality is to keep the relic out of Harly hands, not hold it yourself. None of us want the damned thing, but we don't want you to have it even more since your [REDACTED] cabal room spell is still by far the most powerful room spell in the game, ethereal sorcs or no.

It would make perfect sense to me that'd they try to dump it back on us, so as to get our HQ attacked instead. They'd only hold it as long as they KNOW that we're incapable of defending it.

And I still wouldn't talk about an alliance, since there's a log of me blatantly losing a fight at the adept keep when they drew me there to fight harlies when i attacked them, breaking sanc, and ultimately dying because of it. I could have walked in on that three-way and just let the adepts recall instead of striking.
