I logged out in a room and could see fine and logged back in and it was dark like that. I think it might have something to do with people logging in and out in those rooms?

From what people have said, it probably has something to do with going linkdead. I know that in the past I did fix problems with going linkdead affecting the light. There may be a type of situation that I didn't spot last time. Unless you can reliably reproduce it, this kind of bug is hard to fix.

I can reproduce it, any time I enter that room without having each piece of my outfit glow, and I must have a full outfit to see.

If I'm missing about four or five pieces of glowing equipment in the wilds, sometimes it gets too dark as well.

That isn't reproducing anything. The bug has already happened. When you can create a new room that is permanently dark, let me know.
