Unlock (direction) [resolved]

I've noticed something lately on SK. This has happened to me, not just in this room.

This happened earlier at the Outpost - I could not unlock a room that was northeast without typing the entire word. I checked to see if I had anything aliased to NE, and I don't..so..what's the problem?

Probably something your wearing.
I've had the same problem using open sw. It was trying to do the action to my sword rather than the door. manipulative commands hit what your wearing first before anything like a door. While look sw, or in your case ne, does hit the direction first.

Could be wrong of course, but it's my guess.

I've had that problem like, FOREVER in the Heart and Rose. I am not certain its something you wear, it could be.

Something with the non-standard directions.

I used the whole word always and i was ok.

Nope, it's something you are wearing or in your inventory.

Whenever you look, cast against, etc. SK checks, your inventory, your equipment, then the room. Hence I always resize my gear in my hands or that I'm wearing instead of what is on the floor.

Check your inventory for something that starts with "ne", and it may not always be obvious.

You can be almost be sure it is a "ne"cklace same way sw is almost always a "sw"ord. A tip for the future look as you move it can help from something like c flamestrike "sw"(eet half elf).
