I have a centaur and it only regains 8-9% PE per tick both while resting, sleeping and standing. This must surely be a mistake?

That's not really enough description for me to go on. There are at least 20 different things that can affect movement regeneration, so the most likely thing is that some of those things were different other than just your position. I suppose if your constitution was really poor, then you might not see very much difference between different positions.

Well more specifically, its a hellion centaur which wears a suit of glistening armor + bardings + horseshoes. When resting or sleeping outside inn's you only regain 10% PE at veteran(5). It seems that somehow the innate endurance skill is ignored.

I hope that is description enough or should I send you a log?

Regards

And the constitution is durable. The PE regain rate is much lower than any other class/profession combo I have tried (which is quite a few).

Maybe your endurance pool is so great, and for that reason the percentage regained is low.

Walking in plain terrain costs 2-3% PE while walking on roads costs 1% PE, so I don't think my PE pool is that big. Even though I only have 15 in dex.

PM me the name of the character and I will try to find time to investigate.

I think he is saying that there is no appreciable difference in the amount of movement points that is regenerated at the tick while standing, resting or sleeping. This is true. I've just never bothered to care about it because I use either a refresh spell or go to a healer and get refresh spells because the spell is dirt cheap.

Endurance, however, is not ignored.

It turns out that PE uses a different system for regeneration based on sleeping/resting than HP and ME. It DOES make a difference for PE, but it's probably not very visible based on large PE pools. Undoubtedly it's been like this forever. It would be fairly trivial to change it so that it matches the other two, but it will need to be tested for balance before going into the game.
