You cleave a deep-elf priestess's mouth, knocking out a few of her teeth!
You tear a deep-elf priestess's windpipe, resulting in a shower of BLOOD!
A large black horse charges at a deep-elf priestess's stomach, barely wounding her.
A large black horse charges suddenly, charging at a deep-elf priestess's chest! Some GUTS fall!
A large black horse misses a deep-elf priestess.
Overall, a deep-elf priestess looks pretty hurt.

You dodge a deep-elf priestess's attack.

A deep-elf priestess is DEAD!!

So here it looks like I've dodged a spell...which...I'm thinking is a big bug.

Now on the off chance it could have been a thrown weapon at the same time as the spell casting, this next round of combat was shortly preceding this round.

---------------------------------------

You cleave at a deep-elf priestess's chest, DISEMBOWELING her!
A deep-elf priestess's shield blocks your attack.
A large black horse charges suddenly, charging at a deep-elf priestess's chest! Some GUTS fall!
A large black horse charges at a deep-elf priestess's left wrist, causing a big gash.
A deep-elf priestess's shield blocks a large black horse's attack.
A deep-elf priestess stings at a large black horse's face, slightly puncturing her cheek.
A deep-elf priestess stings at a large black horse's left leg, piercing open a bleeding wound!
Overall, a deep-elf priestess has quite a few wounds.

Not that she is both shield blocking, and attacking with the whip that they spawn with and yes when I junked the corpse both fell out.

So if both hands were full, she shouldn't have been throwing anything.

It simply means that Slayne is a [REDACTED] and can't take a harm spell like a real man.

NPCs get to do many things PCs cannot, I wouldn't be surprised if the code doesn't care whether or not a NPC has both hands full, and is still chucking daggers.

sometimes, after NPCs cast spells, they get an attack immediately after their cast. i've noticed this before, mainly with flamestrike being cast and the flamestrike hitting me, but not my pet, and then the NPC getting an attack on me.

Even if they get an attack right after the spell there is still no effect line from the spell.

Whatever is going on with that spell, there is something dodgy about it.

This could be due to a failed casting.

This happened to me today. It looks similar to what this thread is mentioning.

Code:
An MobileXYZ utters the words, 'flamestrike'.
An MobileXYZ misses you.
An MobileXYZ creates a large arc of fire that slams into the ground next to you.

That particular bug with flamestrike has been there for a long, long time. If someone went digging through the bug discussion forum they'd find at least one started by me.

The thing with harm is new and should be looked into as a seperate incident.

Flamestrike is an area spell and I *think* you are entitled to dodge your way out of it. It's been like this since forever and i came to think it's intended to be like this.

Harm on the other hand, is a melee touch attack 1 taret spell. It does not allow a dodge, it allows resistance to complete resist it, protection to have the damage halved, failure on behalf of the cleric, or full damage output. I never had my harms dodged, neither dodged any for myself. It does look like a bug.

But then again, it could all sum up as 32.
