I know you can trip to start a fight then trip directly after the first round and the second round to build up to five rounds of lag. However, if you try tripping directly after the third round it says they have not yet gotten up. Meaning, you need to wait till just before the fourth round (theres a difference) to trip them yet again.

EDIT: I can upload the whole log on a server if you want to see how it was summon/bash/flee after 1 round/repeat until I spent all my mana pool.

Oh no! you can't summon kill people at your every whim! boost up bash so we can have even more uber necros/sorcerers! [/sarcasm]

The one thing I considre more a bug than this, is how if you miss the bash/trip combat doesn't start or at least get an 'attempted mugging' charge. I see how a missed bash NOT starting combat is beneficial to the defending party, but I still don't get how you see somone trying to tackle you and just watch them fall, "oh, they must not have been aiming for me". What about trip? the message you get is the victim leaps over your trip, so he jumps knowing you're trying to trip him, but who cares, you missed!

I am pretty sure that if you fail a bash the defender can report you for attempt of murder/mug.
Even NPCs walk off on you and go report you.
I don't know about failed or partial failed trips though.

And how many wraiths can miss their bash? Two maybe three?
A necromancer summons you, you get bashed... And you can report him for your murder after you find a priest to resurrect you.

Not when said necromancer did it inside krychire and <not needed IC info>
Its not like I can get in to report it.

Even though undead do miss lots of bashed, but the 'order all bash' takes care of that, ONE of them is bound to land it.

This is going to derail this a bit, but here it goes. As a side note, yes, I agree with Elecho, a failed bash should start combat. If you really care about the n00bs in training grounds of <insert lvl here> and below, don't make it that way. But everywhere else should be... including PCs.

... Still waiting to hear whether or not this is a bug.

If you can be summoned, then you deserve to die.

A failed bash should definitely not start combat. Why the hell should anyone be forced to attack something they didnt want to fight in the first place, especially when it falls down next to them and they can simply walk away.

Not necessarily, with the advent of maxing Art.

Even with art and reduced ability to enchant, I've yet to have someone successfully summon me (without eq, with nosummon up) if they do so from anywhere but the same area I was in anyway.
