I thought it was changed this way years ago, because before you could use mode stun to spam master certain things. I could be wrong.

I don't even know what the heck you were trying to say in the first paragraph...

You don't get an extra attack when you open with a bash or dirt kick, all that happens sometimes is that your first set of attacks will blend into the second set of attacks when the combat text scrolls up. You won't get anymore attacks by bashing someone first then the guy who typed kill instead. The guy who types kill at the start will see his attacks right away, where the guy who bashes or dirt kicks will have a slight delay in seeing their melee attacks because it shows your bash or dirt kick message instead. You get the exact same amount of attacks it just appears on your screen at a differant time.

If the character is stunned when you attack them with any damaging skill, it will set you to mode kill automatically. The only time it won't change to mode kill is if you wait a tick for your target to become unstunned then attack again. Anytime you attack a stunned target you will kill them. This is a feature so you can't spam stun someone or something in order to skill up on skills or to keep someone from doing anything at all.

I would like to point out, that if you are in a group and someone else starts attacking something, if you type 'kill xxx' before your auto assist kicks in, extra one round of combat. ;P

You didn't try it, did you? Allow me to demonstrate, as you are obviously unwilling to do it yourself:

Code:
> dir bat
A furry bat is blinded by the dirt in its eyes!
You cleave a furry bat's chest, causing a gaping wound!

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 85%]
>
You cleave a furry bat's mouth, knocking out a few of its teeth!
You slash a furry bat's windpipe, resulting in a shower of BLOOD!
You slash a furry bat's head.  A furry bat falls with a blank look on its face!
A furry bat is DEAD!!
You hear a furry bat's death cry.
You get 4 silver coins from a corpse of a furry bat.
You junk a corpse of a furry bat.
Just keep it all.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 85%]

NOTICE THE ONE ATTACK!

Code:
[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 99%]
> trip cent
You trip a creeping centipede and it goes down!
A creeping centipede is momentarily stunned as it hits the ground hard.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 96%]
>
You cleave at a creeping centipede's chest, causing a deep gash.
You slash a creeping centipede's chest, causing a gaping wound!
You strike suddenly, slashing at a creeping centipede's chest!  Some GUTS fall!
You strike suddenly, cleaving at a creeping centipede's chest!  Some GUTS fall!
A creeping centipede misses you.
Overall, a creeping centipede has some big nasty wounds and scratches.

[HP:100%] [ME:100%] [PE: 96%]

NOTICE THE ZERO ATTACKS!

It's still only 4 attacks in each quote, and it will always be the same amount not mater what. You did not get an extra attack, one just came earlier in the fight then the other. So try it again and again and again till you can prove yourself right before typing all in caps and assuming I didn't try it myself.

1+3 = 4 or 0+4=4 either way it's still 4.

Do I really need to start a fight with a missed dirt kick to illustrate that the extra attack doesn't appear under those conditions?

Let me reiterate...

If you initiate combat with a successful dirt kick, you automatically smack your target - unlike intiating with a bash/trip/failed dirt kick. Hence my wording of a FREE attack.

I really don't see how you can disagree with this stuff if you have tried it out.

Unless you get more attacks in one version then the other, then you are not getting any extra attacks. 4 attacks either way is only 4 attacks.

Oh Lord. It died in three hits, otherwise I would've gotten four.
