The concept behind familiarity is to keep you from killing the same NPCs repeatedly for all of the levels.

Go train on different NPCs, there's absolutely no way that summoning and killing NPCs is faster than just going somewhere else.

When you say all the levels, do you mean a level 1 character killing school NPCs to GM?

I hope you aren't making a broad argument like that. I really do.

What does it even matter? Go train some other way.

I know what you're saying, 3:16, but as stated by Edoras and others, familiarity is designed to get you to fight different NPCs, not to exploit geography.

Exactly. No matter how area familiarity is determined, you've admitted to actively trying to circumvent it by summoning NPCs to a different area. This is bad and Dulrik wants you to feel bad. Move on and play the game.

I don't think you should feel bad that Dulrik gets mad at smart people. I'm pretty sure familiarity was added because some imms were butthurt, or maybe Dulrik got butthurt that players are lazy and want to stay in one area to level.

This can be circumvented in any case by cycling people in a group formation to reset the area familiarity to less familiar ranks.

316, only old school noobs summon NPCs to train. That's wicked painfully slow. You would be doing yourself a favor to find other places to train.

I miss scribing finger of death and using mana leech on Astargo Divine. That was probably the easiest leveling I've ever done.

I miss mode stun fingering of death myself to GM.

When I'm sitting at the office trying to passively level my character I would much rather sit in one place rather than have to relocate every X number of kills. It would really make life easier than having to bother with relocation.

The summon method is good enough in that case. It's incredibly easy and as a bonus you master summon in the process. Plus I guess you get XP for casting summon as well. Just switch to a different area's NPCs every few levels.
