Yes Terrus. NPCs KICK DIRT. NPCs ARE NPCS. NPC MEANS NON PLAYER CHARACTER. THAT MEANS THINGS THAT ARE NOT PLAYED BY HUMANS.

I find myself typing more and more in all caps the more I visit this forum lately. le sigh.

I have something that's kind of related to bring up about dirt kick, and I'm hoping that some other bards out there might be able to relate.

I've been using songs of sleep to level on certain NPCs which are mounted. Their mounts are lower level than me. They consider "You could probably kill a xyz-mobile naked.", however even with songs of sleep they land dirt kick on me about 8 out of 10 times, as was previously mentioned in another post somewhere.

I'm wondering of songs of sleep is supposed to affect combat skills like dirt kick and trip, since the helpfile isn't very specific. If it is supposed to affect them, I think something may be wrong. The rate at which they fail isn't noticeable.

Dirt kick is a fairly easy skill. Songs of sleep reduce things but if the skill or spell is under j-man its going to go off. If I were you id let the song do whats its supposed to do then go to town on that NPC.
