Which country are we talking about? Taslamar, Uxmal, Zhenshi?...this applies to SK not RL. And that saying is quite incorrect as rules=laws typically. And there are no real exceptions to things like gravity, not even in the US.

Yes, that's so eth sorcs can enter a certain cabal's uber room and get rid of a room affect without getting hurt.

I can think of three cabals that have a room effect spell where this is a case, its not just screwing one cabal if thats what you were getting at.

Eth sorcs are a joke, they are all front row, anyone that can use wands/staves/shamans/ or another sorc can dispel them and watch them die fast.

Its not an issue.
