Code: You yell 'Hey! A dark-winged male griffon is attempting to kill me!'
A dark-winged male griffon's voodoo spirits appear and cause you to contort in pain! take spirit back quaff spirit That really did HURT! You stop resting, and stand up. Pink flames surround you. You drop 30 copper coins. You drop 29 silver coins. You drop 31 gold coins. You drop a small porcelain flask of word of recall. You drop a pitcher of water. You feel weaker. You receive a vision of your tormentor... The Forest of Morea A noticable, dark stillness has fallen over the ^^^ forest here, as if every shade and branch around has hushed their F*F whispers to watch you suspiciously. Between some trees can be F?F seen a shadow-cast path leading into the heart of a secluded grove. It's raining extremely hard, cool, and windy. Obvious exits: n e s w nw ne sw se grove (White Aura) A dark-winged male griffon is flying here. (Grey Aura) A wild boar made of smoldering ash and ember is here. [HP: 31%] [ME: 98%] [PE:100%] R: "The Krychire Inn" > outlaw memory Thinking back, you remember witnessing the following crimes... [HP: 31%] [ME: 98%] [PE: 93%] R: "The Krychire Inn" Is this a bug? The NPCs that I was with didn't go to report the crime, nor can I. Voodooing over waters to nullify the vulnurability to gate is ok with me, but avoiding the law is a bigger bug IMO. |

1) Voodooing over water does not nullify gates. 2) No, it isn't a bug. Edit: I was disappointed at the huge lack of RP that came from my attack, despite my attempt to initiate conversation with you. Seeing that it's you though, I can understand. |

And as you can see there is not a crime in Taslamar either. So I guess there is a bug since that area that you were in was in Taslamar(if it was not in Taslamar, it was in the northern wastes so I could report you). Unless ofcourse voodoo is designed to be crime-free since you can go in Uxmal and voodoo anyone without any cost if you keep a good group with you(like you did there with the griffon camoed scout, next time have the javelina hidden or outside the room). EDIT: I will be dissapointed also from your lack of RP if I ever manage to gank(summon/spam ED perhaps? My own cheap spells) your griffon and then begin to talk. I had other more important matters to attend to after the voodoo, like getting healed, removing the fairy fire, getting a shield, finding sanc herbs etc etc. Welcome to SK, a mud that players critisise your RP when they attempt to RP after they try to PK first. |

PS. The intent was not to ambush you, it was to deter you. You get ten points for playing right into my hands though |

About the trigger, it is left in my client from the days I was playing Dakog and I was getting many voodoo attempts all the time. I set it after that cheap kill Bicji and Mieu did to me when they combined their voodoos, cheap tactics demand cheap counter tactics PS: As you noticed I carried no SA vials since they could not aid my current char anyway |

No, you won't. I RP my deaths out quite happily with the people who've killed me, as any of them will attest (and happily will, I'm sure). Now, if you want to have a pissing contest and talk about who has the biggest.... Spell, I suggest you make a thread on GD so we can discuss it. Otherwise, I imagine we should be keeping our posts on topic. |

Hmmm, my question here is the following: Was there any RP BEFORE the voodoo? I thought imms said there would be punishments for such cases? I think there have already been several cases where the caster got punished for voodooing even once without a warning? Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this policy still in action? |

On topic now, can IMMs tell us if this is a bug or not? |

No, it isn't a bug. Take my word for it. If I attack you in the forest of Morea, which is what I did, it's not a crime just because you happen to be in Krychire - I don't break any laws of a country I'm not in just because you happen to take your damage surrounded by guards a million miles away. Edit: Maybe you should outlaw my ancestors as well? Those guys are bastards. Edit 2: You will notice I said 'we', and not 'you'. I freely admit I wandered from the topic, and I'm glad you paid no attention to the suggestion that we stop trying to measure penises. Edit 3: A picture wherein DA is depicted as a crying baby has been removed, due to its off-topic nature. |
