You walk east.

A Quiet Backroom in the Hart and Rose
You are in a small, quiet room at the back of the inn. The floor is
paved with cool, grey slate flagstones. The walls paneled with oak. A
single wooden table is set in the centre of the room, around which are
a half-dozen or so tall-backed, comfortable chairs. The unceasing
noise from the boisterous taproom to the west is muted here, the
atmosphere close and cozey. A small fire crackles in a hearth set into
the east wall.
Obvious exits: w
A Peacekeeper sentinal stands here, impassive eyes cold and watchful.
A hulking male human is here, guarding the gate.
A hulking male human is here, guarding the gate.
A Taslamaran Peacekeeper is here, guarding the gate.
A Taslamaran Peacekeeper is here, guarding the gate.
A Taslamaran Peacekeeper is here, guarding the gate.
A Peacekeeper of Everclear is here, watching over the village.
>say What gate?!
You exclaim 'What gate!?'

They've been moved there by PCs. This isn't a bug.

There are many, many, many, many NPCs that do this. A lot of NPCs have an action that reflects where they originally come from, and thus seem out of place when they're summoned.

You can use "typo" to report those NPCs if you feel strongly about it. But it's really the builder's choice as to whether the extra detail in the description is worth the occasional mismatch.

Another example would be the blind, mutilated griffons one can find. Yes, the description becomes silly once they've been fixed up by magic. But what a vivid image it gives in normal use!

Well, Even still,

If an Imm could find the time and effort they could make it so that the NPC just walks straight back, opening every door in their way (if it was locked of course they wouldn't be able to :P )
But it would mean alot of work and coding so the Imms probably can't be bothered figuring it out

Or, Yes their Action could change if they leave their area (this would also mean an Imm would need to do a bit of work :drunk:  )
