Magma spray?

Alaquel unleashes a torrent of magma on you, charring your flesh severely!
You are blocked from escape!
An ember javelina dodges Alaquel's attack.
Alaquel slashes an ember javelina's right finger, scratching it slightly.
You pierce at Alaquel's left elbow!  she howls in pain!
Alaquel darts south.
A fire elemental soars south.
Alaquel has fled!

Health  94 Mana  76 Movement 100 

It just seems a bit off that a full hit from this spell would do only 5% damage. And every time I've seen magma spray hit somebody, it would give them the message for a non saved cast of the spell yet it would do damage equal to being hit.

Is the damage message broken?

I believe resist elements reduces the damage that magma does, even with a full hit.

Hm. I thought something was funny after I (with my weak con and HP) took only 15% damage from a full hit without sanctuary or RE. Perhaps there is a bug here?

Magma still did plenty of damage to me. I'm surprised Ardith is talking about this at all, considering magma won his last fight with me by a landslide.

I think the point is that only the message is buggy. That would explain why (true) full hits still did a lot of damage to some people.

Ardith clearly has resist elements up in this log, I don't see what is so buggy about this.

Resist elements is enough to drop a spell that can do upwards of 50% damage down to 5%?

Yes, being that magma is almost entirely considered an elemental attack, Im surprised it does ANY damage with resist elements up.

Considering Destrivai's armor set of sick MP that thing is not strange at all, especially since he had RE up. Try again without armor/treasures and tell us the difference.
