Code: Jeshew punches at someone's face, slightly bruising her cheek. Someone slashes Jeshew's chest, cutting a small but painful, wound. Jeshew is mortally wounded, and will die soon, if not aided. [HP: 100%] [ME: 35%] [PE: 100%] [Wealth: 1 gold, 3 silver] You utter the words, 'szculayuqann'. Your petrification spell turns Jeshew to stone! Jeshew is DEAD!! [HP: 100%] [ME: 28%] [PE: 100%] [Wealth: 1 gold, 3 silver] dpet jeshew You start to concentrate. [HP: 100%] [ME: 28%] [PE: 100%] [Wealth: 1 gold, 3 silver] You utter the words, 'oculoszculayuqann'. You have turned Jeshew into flesh once again! [HP: 100%] [ME: 19%] [PE: 100%] [Wealth: 1 gold, 3 silver] l necro This dark-skinned elf is surprisingly healthy, given his apparent profession. His eyes have darkened purple around their sockets and his face is still thin and weak in appearance, but his body seems full of life and vibrance. His limbs are long, slender and still hold muscle tone. His hair has not yet greyed, and is simply cut short, almost to the scalp. Overall, Jeshew is in excellent condition. Jeshew is using: <worn as armor> wizard's garb (brand new) Code: Depetrification allows a sorceror to return a petrified being to his warm,
flesh-and-blood form, even if she did not create the statue. The spell does not discriminate and can return both players and NPCs to life. A creature who is depetrified will also have their belongings with them but will likely return in worse health than when they were stoned. This spell will fail if the target has already been returned to life. Is this how the spell is meant to work or does it need fixed? |

We used to call it 'the cleansing by stone'. Petrification/Depetrification also takes away status affects like poison, plague, curse, weaken, blindness... |

I can't see anything wrong with that log. You'll have to point out more specifically what you think the bug is. |

That the NPC went from mortally wounded to full health. Code: A creature
who is depetrified will also have their belongings with them but will likely return in worse health than when they were stoned. Does not take place for NPCs. |

I believe it also gives you any missing body parts as well. This spell has done this forever. The help file says the target will come back in worse health but everytime its depetrified its completely healed with all status affects cured, then again the helpfile says "will LIKELY come back...." likely is a big word in this game though Ive never seen it fail to insta cure anyone. |

It's hard for me to remember the changes over the years, especially when the help file is not always updated. I believe that depetrification is supposed to reset you to the same HP/ME/PE that you had when you were petrified, whether a player or NPC, as that seems to be the least abusive way for things to work. From the comments on this thread, it seems that the NPCs at least are not working correctly... |

When I started playing about 7 years ago pretrify then depetrify used to turn everyone back to 100%. Sorcs abused this by using to as a quick full heal for their charmies. It was changed so that they came back at worse health Then it was changed again when sorcs abused this to easly gank hard to kill NPCs. It was supost to bring them back at exactly the same health. |

It was more like, petrify, depet, petrify.depet. Till you were out of mana then use a item that makes the statue not crumble and sleep. and keep repeating untill you could kill the NPC in one acid blast. |

Just curious what wouldn't make a statue crumble, it is not like they are a limb that can be sealed or anything, but I see why it is a valid reason to prevent that from happeneing. |
