Mounted rescue bug It is possible to rescue well mounted and take both you and your rider out of combat. Well mounted, in mood defensive, in the first rank, with someone behind you. (11:F1) [ xxxxx] (12:F2) [------------] (13:F3) [------------] (21:M1) [ yyyyy] (22:M2) [------------] (23:M3) [------------] (31:B1) [----------] (32:B2) [------------] (33:B3) [------------] With xxxx riding a griffon (Im assuming any mount). Xxxxx being attacked griffon rescued xxxxx. The new formation looks like. (11:F1) [ yyyyyy] (12:F2) [------------] (13:F3) [------------] (21:M1) [ xxxxxx] (22:M2) [------------] (23:M3) [------------] (31:B1) [------------] (32:B2) [------------] (33:B3) [------------] (the griffon/rescuer moves with their rider away from combat) My understanding is well in mood defensive the rescued person is put into rank 2 behind the rescuer. Well mounted it gets confusing. The person riding is places in the second rank behind the mount. Because the mount is being ridden they too move to the second rank. For some reason I cant see the person behind them is shunted to the first rank. Once this has happened it is very hard to correct till the end of the battle. In mood aggressive rescue works as expected. Both rider and mount stay in the first rank and the rescuing mount starts taking the hits. |

This doesn't seem like a bug to me, just what you would expect. The mount has to go whereever its rider goes. Rescuing while on mood defensive pushes the rescued guy back one rank and you go with them. The only one left to be in front is the guy behind you. Solution: If you don't want this to happen, use mood aggressive. |
