Here's the problem:

Quote:
You slice a human warrior's head, tearing open a bleeding wound!
You slice at a human warrior's chest, causing a deep gash.
You slice a human warrior's chest, causing a gaping wound!
You slice a human warrior's head, tearing open a bleeding wound!
Overall, a human warrior has quite a few wounds.

Thats the first battle where blitzkrieg is working fine on the first NPC I fought.

Quote:
You strike suddenly, slicing at a human warrior's chest! Some GUTS fall!

Overall, a human warrior has some big nasty wounds and scratches.

This is the second battle, on a differant NPC, where I can not blitzkrieg yet I remain able to improve at the skill, and it shows me blank lines every time I put in the command. When I go onto a third NPC I can blitzkrieg once again, my question is why is it I can blitzkrieg on one NPC and not another yet I can still improve at the skill on the second NPC?

EDIT: All nospams are off BTW.

The helpfile on blitz says that you strike at the enemies first row.
That is entirely not what happens though.
Blitz works exactly like spirit horde, it hits everyone that are directly attacking YOU.

If you are fighting a NPC that is fighting, say, your pet, and you blitz you are as if you use it on thin air.
You get the lag and the skill improve chance but nothing more.

This is what happened on my merc.
I was first row with a pet behind me.
The pet would start the fights with dirt kick.
If the dirt kick landed (the blind effect) then the NPC would hit me yet I could not blitz.
This is a bug of course and perhaps it is what happened in your case too.

I was initiating the fights as well, but that doesn't mean your wrong either. What ever it is, there's a bug here.

The past couple of days I've had a similiar problem, though not in combat as much as out. People won't show up as in the room while they're actually there, PC names will merge with NPC names, I'll get NPC echoes rooms away from the NPC, people walking in and out of rooms without sneaking will appear as blank lines, etc. The problem has occurred in combat as well with things that typically show up between rounds like spells. I just get a blank line instead of the text that would normally be seen. While the combat instances are a bit of a pain to find in my mile long log, this one was easier...

The PC in the room was Ristius and I'm not sure what's causing this, but I'm pretty sure these pesky problems are linked.

Paste the battle from the beginning then, it will help figure out what went wrong.

I no longer have that battle from the beginning, and there is no need for it since it clearly shows that there is a problem with blitzkrieg since it is letting me train it yet not actually firing. Besides, all you would see is battle spam with the same thing repeating itself over and over again.

It could be that you failed your blitzkrieg attempt, missed the blitzkrieg, or both. A lot of factors are involved, you and the targets dex, skill level with blitzkrieg, skill level with the weapon in question, and accuracy of the weapon being used to blitzkrieg with. I dont know if whats posted here is necessarily demonstrating any kind of bug. I have mastered blitz on 2 mercenaries and still got that message with certain subtypes. -edit By that message, I mean NO message for blitz.

I had mastered blitz recently after I posted that bug, if I'm missing my blitz I should get "your blitzkrieg misses so and so" message. Either way You shouldn't get blank lines when entering a command, there should always be a return value IMO.
