For some reason, when I am hiding, if I look at most NPCs or PCs I can stay hidden, but now and then I'll look at someone or some NPC and I'll step out of the shadows. Why is this?

For example: (NOTE: I am sneaking, which is why I do not come un-hidden while walking)

The Crossroads Inn

Dozens of lanterns hang from the carved wooden columns that support the weight of the inn overhead, giving the surrounding area an inviting glow of
comfort. The ceiling overhead has been carved with images of the various
races of Pyrathia and then painted to give them an almost life-like
appearance. The floor below is hardly visible beneath the scattering of
sawdust, but seems to be made of a red marble swirled with white. Heavy
wooden tables and chairs are scattered liberally around the Inn, leaving
plenty of room for people to sit.
A silver-bound door set between two stain-glass windows allows access to the outside. Set just next to the door is a large sign written in six
different languages.

A small fountain is here.
An elegant gold-trimmed community forum is here, posting local news.

A rosy-cheeked female gnome is standing here in dull yellow robes.
A curvaceous female human is here taking orders from patrons.
A hired-hand, an enormous giant, stands here next to the door.

A gray-skinned female gnome, not too far along in her adult years. Her
hair is a deep black hue. She is slightly plump, giving her a small
double chin and cherubic cheeks which are a bright shade of red. Her
brow is wrinkled, and she bears a continual look of inquisitiveness.
Her eyebrows looked to have been completely plucked and replaced with
thin, black, eyebrow-like tattoos.
Overall, a rosy-cheeked female gnome is in excellent condition.

A rosy-cheeked female gnome is using:

<worn as armor> wizard's garb (brand new)

You peek at their inventory:
9 copper coins
4 silver coins
a single gold coin

This young, voluptuous woman is just barely into her second decade. Her
long, dark blonde hair is braided and tied behind her head and stops just
halfway down her back. She wears a loose, but still low-cut white blouse
which compliments the biege, ankle-lengths skirt she also wears.
Overall, a curvaceous female human is in excellent condition.

A curvaceous female human is using:
<worn as armor> light chain mail (brand new)

You peek at their inventory:
the chef's house salad
a two pound sirloin steak
6 copper coins
9 silver coins
2 gold coins

You walk west.

The Mordeth Crossroad

This small road is very heavily traveled. The surface of the road under
your feet is loose grey gravel kept in place by black stone walls which only
rise to the height of a gnome or dwarf. Blowing around at the sides of the
low walls are bits of debris and garbage that has been pushed aside by the
heavy foot and cart traffic that this road gets. Spaced unevenly along the
walls are breaks that allow for small walkways to the various shops and
houses that line the other side of the walls.
A street sign has been erected here at the intersection.
It's partly cloudy, cool, and there is absolutely no wind.

A large male griffon is here, watching his surroundings.
A recipient of charity is here.

You step out of the shadows.
A young griffon of some 10 years. When he moves, this male
with hawk-like eyes flicks his tail often in a testy and
tense matter, scanning his surrounding carefully. His pelt
is glossy and healthy, and his blue-black feathers shine in light.
Overall, a large male griffon is in excellent condition.

A large male griffon is using:
<worn as skin> fur hide (brand new)

When i looked at the griffon, I stepped out of the shadows, but the other NPCs didn't make me do that when I looked at them. i noticed it happens sometimes when I look at myself as well. Is this just some sort of random possibility, or is it a bug?
