Blindness should not prevent characters from entering named entrances. A character blinded in the wilderness (or one who recalls) has no recourse but to wait the blindness out, since they cannot see the who list to communicate with others, enter any town in SK, or do anything short of yelling out for help. |

It's odd how there's no uniformity among blindness (magical/dirt kick, lack of infravision, and cabal spell). One blindness is the same as another, no? |

You can teleport to stones with blindness, but not fly into a city. WTF, but you *can* do it when it's dark and you can't see because of lack of infravision. Or even better, you can gate to stones, but not see to walk through the gate. |

I agree, somebody blind should be able to feel their way around and find an exit somehow. Be it a crack in a wall or a 15 foot gate in front of them. |

Good old search feature. I was about to repost the exact same information. One should be able to navigate through named exits while blinded. While blinded, one can navigate through cardinal directions, open and close doors in said directions, and even leave named areas that have a cardinal exit. But one cannot enter named exits while blind. I've even been told that one can flee through named exits, though I've not been "twinkish" enough to succeed in this operation myself. While I understand that enabling this ability would in some small measure reduce the effectiveness of this spell, I find it more than a little frustrating that blinding my character under all but the most primitive circumstances forces him to sit and wait out the effect of the blindness, which is not a held spell. One cannot see the who list to contact a priest/shaman/friend for curing, enter any city to access a healer, order/persuade NPCs to cure, or even reach into a container to pull out a potion of cure blindness (not even have it handed to you). In fact, the only time that one has a recourse is when one is already within a city and can wander through that city until one stumbles into the local healer with enough gold already in hand, or one can leverage a global channel (yelling, cabal chat) to request aid, in which case either a healer can cast a spell or an adventurer can plant a potion. There are few things more frustrating (and potentially dangerous) that recalling to a set of stones and waiting somewhere around the city outskirts, unable to stumble through the 15-foot gate which leads into the city proper. Although there are several alternative solutions, I would believe that the easiest -- and most logical -- solution would be to enable navigation through named exits while blinded. |

Blinded people cannot find their way around? Two words: Ray Charles. |

I second this motion. Is there some sort of code issue creating a wall here? It makes no sense to be able to move around while blind, yet not enter named exits. |

Also, when blind, how exactly is this explained. Code: [HP: 90%] [ME: 87%] [PE: 91%]
> i You are carrying: a jeweled vial of word of recall [HP: 90%] [ME: 87%] [PE: 91%] > eq You are using: <worn on finger> something <worn around neck> something <worn around neck> something <worn as symbol> something <worn on body> something <worn on head> something <worn on legs> something <worn on feet> something <worn on hands> something <worn on arms> something <worn about body> something <worn about waist> something <worn around wrist> something <right hand> something <left hand> something [HP: 90%] [ME: 87%] [PE: 91%] > You rub the dirt out of your eyes. How can I see what's in my inventory, but I can't see my eq? Like also, you can equip something when your blind, but you can't unequip anything, unless you type rem all, haven't bothered trying that. |

Because of certain effects that prevent visabilty, they were mildly overpowered in PK because the victim had *no* way out. So it was added that you could see/use any herbs/vials while blind/dirted/deeper darkness/et cetera. |
