A devout male human utters the words, 'yrawzgculatz'.
A devout male human misses you.
You feel immense pain as a devout male human directs a column of fire to strike you.

If this is a part physical damage from flamestrike, it shouldn't be able to miss.

I imagine he's a paladin, so that he got one combat casting attack that round.

That shouldn't matter. Why would you be able to hit something between two lines of a spell? I've noticed that this happens quite often and even more noticable when the victim has stone skin up.

My flame based attacks go off... then my physical damage attacks go off.

Looks fine to me.

Stop your bitching, there is nothing wrong with this. The devout guy is considered a Knight for he teaches a few Paladin stuff, that is if it's the one from Nerina.

Wow, you people simply are stupid. I can't believe that any of you passed through High School.

Code:
Combat casting provides two distinct benefits.  The first is the
ability to attack once per round while casting.  This style of fighting
is incredibly difficult - even with special training it is impossible
to make multiple attacks per round while casting a spell.  For this
reason many combat casters use the largest weapons available.

Combat casting allows for a paladin or hellion to get in 1 attack per round while casting a spell. That's per round, not as he has cast a spell. As you can clearly see there is some attack being thrown when flamestrike is cast. Flamestrike is not a weapon. It is a spell. 50/50 damage only works on weapons. Furthermore, flamestrike is made out of fire, which would mean that it does 100% fire damage. If flamestrike were made out of iron or adamantite then it would do 50/50 damage. Through logical deduction we have concluded that all of you are idiots.

However, I still <3 Konge.

All of that being said there is a problem here.

First: This is not combat casting, there is -no way- a combat round can be executed inbetween two lines of the same spells (they are both resolved instantly).

Second: I understand that it doesn't go under the normal rules of the new weapon damage code. But clearly there is some sort physical damage associated with the spell. My only problem is that this attack seemingly can miss when the spell doesn't

I agree with you Konge.

There is some obvious bug here.

I think the obvious question is why Konge's priest doesnt have good enough resists to resist flamestrike
