Code: > sing c
You continue to dance. [HP:100%] [ME: 98%] [PE: 97%] > You dodge Elder Aijina's attack. You dodge Elder Aijina's attack. Your flaming bite burns Elder Aijina's head. Your flaming bite lightly burns Elder Aijina's chest. Your flaming bite burns Elder Aijina's chest. Your flaming bite starts Elder Aijina's chest on fire. Overall, Elder Aijina has quite a few wounds. [HP:100%] [ME: 98%] [PE: 97%] > A strange compulsion keeps you from attacking Elder Aijina. You chord rings through the air unheard. I was engaged in melee, it wasn't a reaching weapon, I was solo didn't even have a pet, and I have C major mastered. It still does fail occasionally, but it only worked one out of five times in that fight. The other four were apparently stopped by sanctuary. Edit:Tested it again and it only seems to happen if I'm dancing while singing the chord. |

If I remember right: When in melee, and you cast a spell against a sanced target, it still checks against sanc before it lands. Same with cords it appears. feature. |

It only does that if you aren't engaged in melee not if you are. And it only does this while dancing not if I'm not dancing. |

Then maybe your prancing around isn't considered real melee fighting *snicker* |

If you were to denote a target, "sing c [target]", then I would expect it to attempt to break sanc, but to just add it to melee. I'm going to say bug here. |

Spells vs Sanctuary If the caster is not enganged in melee be it first or second row each spell will have to break sanctuary (use to be both at time of concentration and when spell was cast, now it only seems to check it when the spell is cast) If the caster IS enganged in melee be it first or second row, once the attacker gets through sanctuary he is welcome to cast spells without needing to break sanctuary all over again. I would imagine chords would be intended to work the same way, and since it only happens when he's dancing that makes it sound even more like a bug, well to me anyway... |

[quote="Lakir"] If the caster IS enganged in melee be it first or second row, once the attacker gets through sanctuary he is welcome to cast spells without needing to break sanctuary all over again. [quote] Actually, this is not always the case. I've noticed that if you're in melee with a target but it is attacking someone else, you still need to break sanctuary for every spell. It's a bug that I've just noticed and I'll bug it in the game. |
