Welcome to Shattered Kingdoms.

A Disturbing and Gloomy Chamber
You are within a disturbing, square-shaped chamber of dark stone.
Deep red torches flicker dimly in the corners of the room, though the
light seems to be all but absorbed by the dark air which hangs damp and
heavy about you.  A bright red pentagram surrounded by four
concentric rings of silver lies on the floor in the center of the
chamber.  A narrow passage leads southwest from here.  A small alcove
is set into the eastern wall, lined with hanging hooks and shelves.
Obvious exits: sw
A large chest designed to hold ammunition is here.
A tall construct made of glistening blood stands here.
A magma mephit has entered the realms.
Since your last adventure, thieves set upon you and stole some of your items!

All right, to my knowledge I had no items that exceeded level 50 and I can't even readily spot anything that is missing.

So...why would the log out thieves bother me?

You usually don't notice these things are missing.

You probably had an item that no longer exists in the game, and it was removed from you.

Well, one time I had a dark aura white aura ring that I was wearing... I log in the next day and it's white aura, then I log in the next day it's gone. No messages, no compensation, no nothing.

It's called having a no-save item and a crash.

There was a thread about this a while ago when Erani was around.
Apparently, there are level 51 items out there that can get stolen from you regardless of GMing or not.

There are also level 51 items or higher you can keep without being over level 50.

Yeah, cool, I didn't have any items that were over level 50. I know those items get ripped from you when you log out so there's no point in keeping them.

However, my hoard is intact, so I don't know why I got this message.
